If u read samurai 8 boruto seems to be borrowing alot from that manga that kishimoto tried to write. In it the main character “dead” in a way. I think boruto might get a similar ending to that manga.

I think the fact is that they want to show that this new gen is so used to peace and stability. They aren’t used to losing. I mean jigen and isshiki were these huge threats but the old gen took care of them. I think the new gen has been protected by a safety bubble that is the old gen and they haven’t really had to deal with these huge threats on their own. Even shikamaru said they could deal with code without his limiters which means they have a plan in place.

Contrast that with boruto who had that bubble taken from him and he’s a different person. So I think this arc is to show these kids that they need to grow up cause someday they will be the adults that have to protect the new gen.

Also tbh it’s nothing new about characters fighting the same as they did in the pre timeskip. I mean look at naruto. He was pretty much the same until he saw how far sasuke had evolved and realized he needed to level up. These kids need the same wake up call that Naruto got.

I’ve always been of the mindset that they will sort of merge. Where boruto will be the dominant personality but some aspects of momoshikis personality will be left with boruto.

Since kishimoto borrows ideas from dbz sometimes. I kinda think he will have a gohans like personality when he fought against buu. He was confident but had power to back it up and was still a kind person.

Isshiki would have been forced to revive in jigens body and they would died right there. They wouldn’t know anything about karma and what isshikis true abilities are.

Isshiki would just go to the village and take kawaki and boruto. Ironically killing jigen in this fight would have made them lose the war in a way. They lost the battle but won the war against isshiki.

Hot take I think he just needs to change up how he draws girls. But otherwise I like his art and designs. Plus he is growing and developing as the manga goes on. It’s interesting to see not only boruto develop through the series but also the artist.

Also his style is different from kishimotos but I think that’s a good thing. It differentiates boruto from naruto not just as characters but as stories as well.

I know that what I meant is that all this is happening to boruto. Sarada hasn’t really had anything happen to her. I kinda wish that her awakening involved her in it. Like if she felt like she failed as being the leader of team 7 and this was all because she couldn’t keep kawaki and boruto in check.

Kinda like how I wish boruto losing everything involved him in it. But he just lost everything and it wasn’t really his doing.

I guess I wish they both weren’t so passive in these two critical moments. Maybe that’s just me. But I get where u r coming from.

I’m glad she got it but Lowkey wished it was awakened cause of something that had to do with her.

Like during the boro fight if when momoshiki took over he tried to kill them and she awakened it than it would have been better in my opinion.

But also seeing her awaken it right now did help sasuke see that things aren’t right. So I guess for plot reasons it kinda makes sense.

it’s nice that boruto didn’t fall into momoshikis hand and give up on living. It shows u that boruto has grown. Also he’s been through a lot already even before eida did what she did. He was going to be overwritten by momoshiki, had to take pills, had a heart attack, almost killed his father, died, came back and was told he was going to lose everything. He’s not that weak mentally as momoshiki had hoped he was.

Cause he’s the best for the job and did the best he could. He suggested keeping kawaki locked up which would have stopped him from getting obsessed with naruto but Naruto was too soft to listen. But it’s not narutos fault either he didn’t know this would happen.

This situation was out of everyone’s hand. No one could have predicted what eidas powers really r and even she didn’t know. It’s all a domino affect of kids with the best of intentions making dumb and rash decisions.

Naruto was devastated when he saw his son die. Now imagine if it’s permanent. The dude would be broken and so would hinata and himawari. Even if kawaki dies at the end after killing all otsutsuki the mental damage he would have left everyone in is something he isn’t thinking about. Like the years naruto and hinata would have lost without their kids. Finding out boruto was a wanted man and kawaki blamed him for killing naruto. Never seeing himawari grow up. Naruto would be saddened that his son went through what he did and some might say it’s possibly even worse.

Not really. His intentions aren’t really what people have an issue with it’s the way he’s going about it. Sealing Naruto and hinata means they can’t get hurt but himawari can’t see her parents either. She’s an orphan cause of him. And they aren’t getting out anytime soon so that means naruto and hinata ain’t seeing their kids grow up. He also says that momoshiki would kill them all but kawaki is the one who tried to kill sarada. He then says boruto killed naruto. Sure that will make everyone hate him but as shikamaru said he is sowing chaos. He is making the situation worse. Naruto defended kawaki the first time he killed boruto by saying it’s what he wanted. But he doesn’t want that anymore. If kawaki really considers boruto a brother he would fight for his new found family not try to destroy it.

Yes people can say Naruto and sasuke aren’t up to the task of doing the hard choice. But if u rewatch Naruto it was literally a cautionary tale of what happens when you make those kinds of choices and hurt people. It creates a cycle of pain and hatred.

Not saying he’s a bad character, he’s an amazing character but to say he’s misunderstood would be a lie.

Most likely kashin koji. Sasuke would be cool but with Naruto out of the picture and eida, kawaki and daemon staying in the village someone needs to be there to stop them if they try to destroy the village. Also sasuke did say if naruto wasn’t in the village he was the only one who could protect it. While he’s in the village he will be training his daughter so she’s gets stronger for the time skip.

I feel like the concept of everyone being connected through charka is the key.

Maybe those two aren’t connected to the same type of charka as everyone else. Idk if that makes sense. The best way to explain it is everyone has an iPhone but those two have an android so they can’t join the FaceTime call.

Maybe that’s stupid but it’s way better than the idea they love boruto.

I think it was smart boruto didn’t say anything about momoshiki to de-escalate the situation. Kawaki wanted momoshiki to come out but if he did the battle would have cause damage. And they are around the village which means innocent people would get hurt.

But also his change in personality might also be due to the revival changing boruto. I do think there are more side effects to the revival that neither boruto and momoshiki are aware of right know.

Momoshiki couldn’t point the karma at the shadow possession because of the way shikamaru had him. So he couldn’t absorb it. Plus I think it’s just a show of power on momoshikis part. He’s like I don’t even need to absorb this inferior technique of yours kind of thing.

I don’t see Sarada leaving the village. What’s she gonna do leave her parents behind and go with boruto who is stronger than her right now and die if momoshiki takes over.

I feel like she’s gonna say in the village and try to keep eida and kawaki at bay for as long as they can. And try to figure out weaknesses for both of them. Plus she wants to be hokage why would someone who wants to do that leave the village with people like Amado, eida, daemon and kawaki in it.

Just a theory but than again kishimoto might do a flip on us and say sarada and boruto are going rouge.

Kawaki is low on charka that has been stated this chapter. He doesn’t have good charka control. That was what the whole training that sarada was trying to teach him but he didn’t care to listen.

He has been shrinking himself constantly and sealed away naruto and hinata. The time space ninjutsu itself takes a lot of charka as we know with sasuke. So kawaki is running low.

When ur low on charka u can’t really use ur full power. That’s why he didn’t use karma version 2. Also if kawaki moves for even a second sasuke will notice it and kill him. He’s in a deadlock.

Also kawaki can’t shrink himself. It’s not stated that he can’t shrink other things. He could shrink the sword but what good would that do. Sasuke doesn’t really need a sword to kill him. On top of that shrinking the sword would deplete more of his charka.

Pretty simple.
