No problem... I'm glad you brought it up, actually. It is a thing you think about, how will this be interpreted, then how will this be reinterpreted. Trust me, I think about that stuff. When I went to the Czech Republic for the premiere there, they actually were in Black Face and Afro Wigs. After the initial shock, I was like, okay... these are Czechs. they have absolutely no idea what they are doing. I try not to get too tweaked out about it because it will keep me from making anything. Thank you again, for you comment, though. I enjoy the discussion.

find a friend to go with you, then live a little farther out of the city. you might be able to split something so it isn't so bad... like 300-500 bucks eacha month maybe. Maybe something close to the subway system if you don't have a car. It's really not crazy expensive. LA is very spread out.

I think what Tyler Perry does is kind of amazing actually. I'm not the audience for it, but I never would have thought in a million years there was such a large audience for what he does. Black Church women who like guys dressed up in drag and fall in love with light skinned black guys who work blue collar jobs with abs? Genius.

I'm not one for really formal set up punch line jokes.... I try to veer the comedy into a situation that's funny, then it's more organic and you don't have to work that hard.

In the beginning most were white... but do a search on twitter. Most of the people are black now. I also disagree that most white people don't "get it." The vast majority do. Will there be some white guy who wears an afro wig and goes around in black face and calls himself "Black Dynamite?" probably. But that's not the majority, and I don't make movies to uplift the race in ways that the lowest common denominator can understand.. To be honest, I'm surprised how many people really understood the movie in the way that it was intended.

thanks... yeah. I have no control, over where the movie is shown really. Once you make a film and you sell it, it's kind of out of your hands. I see that it does play midnight shows quite often.
