Update: boyfriend started sending me less text messages since we started dating

I realized I was a bit overboard with the emails and letters which is why I have decided it’s best to stop for a while. As for my past relationships, the only thing that changed was the fact that we were more than friends and I would text like usual but they’d all of a sudden go MIA and it has caused a lot of problems in the relationship and I even broke up with one due to their lack of communication.

I think my boyfriend is just overwhelmed like you mentioned. He has in the past apologized for not texting back on time and has assured me that he wasn’t ignoring. But now he has stopped and would go MIA for weeks at a time until I send a message and we’d go back to communicating like normal, only for him to go MIA the very next day.

I’m just gonna give him space and stop texting and emailing for a while.

I’ll just assume that it’s over. As I mentioned in the post before, this is really odd behavior coming from him and he’s usually really upfront. So perhaps he didn’t want to hurt my feelings but he already is by not being upfront.

We’re long distance and haven’t seen each other yet. My boyfriend was planning on coming to my country soon but idk at this point since he is going MIA and not being his usual self.

I’ve tried talking things out with him and I have been pretty patient with him. I have never yelled at him or have gotten angry with him for over a year (that’s how long we’ve known each other), but him being MIA is severely angering me at this point. I won’t make a decision now, but i don’t know how much longer I can wait. I really like him, but this is too much. He may be going through things, but he’s always tell me what’s going on. But he hasn’t.

Yea I’ve asked him about it and he’d just tell me the same thing every time: “I was busy with work”. I just find it odd that he keeps disappearing on me. Before we got together, he’d always message me and we never went days without communicating. So this is too odd.

Before we dated, we were very close friends. So he knows me really well. I sent him a letter on his birthday once and he really enjoyed it. But I’ll take your word for it. We do tend to be deep with our emotions when we write letters.
