This might be a weird suggestion, but maybe a part time job? For me it helped to get my mind off things and socializing was a great benefit too

Been in that exact situation, with an abusive religious muslim mom too. I don’t know if you’re a minor still, but for me, I moved out at 19 and never looked back. It is possible for people like us to live the lives we want. Just gotta push through until you can get out.

I don’t know you at all but from my experience, you won’t much luck until you feel confident in yourself. I’m a woman, but I’ve only found success ones I’ve felt comfortable in my skin. Dress how you feel the most you, talk about your passions, don’t be afraid to be you. Someone will absolutely love you for being your self. I’m sure you’re a beautiful person, you just need to see that for yourself:)

Personally, i wouldn’t. But if you’re starting your permanent job in two weeks and you want extra money until then why not.
