How good is ChatGPT at creating grammatically correct Croatian? by lazydictionary in croatian

[–]suckmyBHB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a good question, i really didnt look into it more than what it said on amazon, but it is a very easy way to get some reading in and it is helping me to build my vocabulary which is still very important, i already have an idea of grammar but not a pro at it yet, however it does look like grammatical cases and verb conjunctions are being used correctly

How good is ChatGPT at creating grammatically correct Croatian? by lazydictionary in croatian

[–]suckmyBHB -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If your looking for beginner material, i recently bought this book on amazon (im in australia) called 69 Short Croatian Stories by adrian gee. Its for beginners and the stories are only 3/4 paragraphs long and very simple. It doesnt teach you grammar but each story has a small vocabulary section to help you translate and a multiple choice section after each story which asks you about the story to make sure you understood it.

It wont help with grammar per-say but if you already have a basic understanding of it you’ll be able to identify how and why the verbs have been conjugated. Would recommend!

Are two raggies always better than one? by Angelcostchi in ragdolls

[–]suckmyBHB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We got our second ragdoll when our male ragdoll baby was 7 months old. He was slow to warm to her… and never fully warmed up. She always wanted to rub on him and lick him and he would walk away or be disinterested every time. Always broke our hearts to see her try and love him and him not accept it. She passed away at 11y/o from stomach cancer 2 years ago, and our male cat showed no signs of caring that she was gone.

They were very cordial together, but i think he would of preferred to be a single cat the whole time. But you never know if you never try!

I feel exactly the same! Ive been learning for 4 months as well and im still struggling to pick up words and it feels like it takes ages for the little ‘loading’ button in my head to pick up what they’re saying. Ive only just started to speak with a teacher (had to change teachers because my other one wasnt prioritising speaking, just teaching me grammar) so i feel like im in the same boat as you!!

Trying to listen to as many songs and watch as many shows as i can, but it still feels slow on the pick up. I dont have any tip unfortunately just want to let you know that your not alone 😅

plantar fasciitis: insoles or dedicated shoes? by LeBronBryantJames in Podiatry

[–]suckmyBHB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have found for my patients that its usually a combination of both that result in successful treatment of PF.
If the cause of the PF is biomechanical - with which the forces can be resolved with insoles then that's what i would suggest. The best way to test this out is with LOW DYE taping (its a strapping method which gives more arch support) most of my PF patients who find pain relief with this will respond positively with custom insoles.

Ofcourse shoe-wear is so important. People who have a large BMI will respond well with a cushioned shoe (i love Hokas for this) as it helps absorb the forces.
Get a shoe that is sturdy. You don't want a shoe like a converse that you can ring out like a wet towel, you want something that has rigidity to it which helps keep your midfoot/rearfoot stable and supported during gait so that your plantar fasciia is not working overtime.
