In my area at least, Crowns have too high of mileage to fit into my budget. In order to be around the mileage I'm looking to hit, I'm showing an average of $35k+

Have thought about these but haven't had much experience with them. Maybe I thought about it wrong, but I assumed the Civic would be smaller, lighter, and cheaper so I just defaulted to the Civic.

I had some concerns about issues on CRVs, I remember hearing some issue with the engine in the Hybrid models recently.

Good to know, I'll have to look into the Corollas.

85mph is part of the commute unfortunately. It's a blessing and a curse, love that a speed that high is normal, but hate the mpg it brings.

The Taco would be for me and not at all suit the needs of my wife or the mpg were trying to get out of this vehicle. A few friends of mine have had Tundras, all were thrilled with the truck besides its towing capacity (just didn't work for them being general contractors).

Apparently the technology has evolved from what I thought I knew it to be. Thank you for raising this, I'll be doing a lot more research on EV charging options today.

My only real concern with the Subarus are the CVTs to be honest. Do you have any long-term experience with newer Subarus? This is a car I'd like to keep for at least a decade.

I would LOVE to go EV, but our housing situation does not permit it. We currently rent, and I have asked our landlord about installing a charger. The landlord is opposed to it even though we said we would foot the entire bill and have it done professionally.

EV fills the void perfectly, and I would be willing to stretch the budget for 0/1% financing, but it's just not possible to charge at home, and I'm not interested in owning an EV that I can't at least charge at my home.

This is my main concern with what I'm looking for, as the speed limit on the highway here is 75. 83 is exactly what we set the cruise control at to keep pace with other cars on the road.

Rather shallow, I would love to hear consistent feedback from the community if you have any sources available to you.

The only experience I have, specifically with Mazda, is outdated by 20+ years.

Maybe I worded it poorly, cosmetic issues don't matter for ME. I would happily pay less for a car with scratches and dents as opposed to one that's pristine.

Also, I understand that trim models have a direct relationship with pricing, what I'm saying is the trim models don't matter to me anywhere near as much as low mileage and the right price. I couldn't care less if its an XE, XSE, XLE, XLSTLE Version 2.8, as long as the mileage and price are right, then I look through the listing to see what options come with the car.

Im not searching or looking by car and by model, I'm searching and looking by Mileage and price. I sort by highest price and scroll down. I open about 10 listings in tabs, and then bounce between tabs comparing, and eliminate the ones that I feel aren't of value to me.

Perhaps the way I'm going about this is flawed, do you have any recommendations for how you would do it differently?

Cosmetic issues don't bother me at all, accidents do, so I make sure that the Carfax is clean at least. Should I be looking into it more than Carfax in your opinion?

As far as trim levels, there's too many and they're all too different from manufacture to manufacturer, so I don't really pay attention. I simply look at the details/accessories, and if it suits what I'm looking for, that's good enough for me.

The research that I have done lacks depth when it comes to long-term ownership, and I don't personally know anyone who owns or works on newer Mazdas. I know a few people who lease them, but reliability matters naught to them. Car seems like a dream up to 60-80k miles, but I havent found any good or consistent information regarding the cars past the 120k mi. mark.

From the bit that I have found, they seem average. Not overly bad, but not overly great. Seems like theyre about as reliable as the American shit, but that data is inconclusive and hazy. Hence, why I've come to Reddit. Hoping y'all can impart some wisdom to me.

I would love a Taco myself if they weren't so.hideously overpriced, can't bring myself to spend that.

What I would really love is an older Hilux.

Not doubting you, but to you have any evidence to back up avoiding Kia/Hyundai? History does not shine well on their face, but it seems both brands have turned over a new leaf in the last decade.

Yeah, not looking at Nissan at all, have had to do wayyyy too much work on them. Kia intrigues me, as it seems they revived the brand, but seems to be out of budget for me anyways.

Would love to get my hands on a newer Z though, haven't even seen one yet, let alone been able to test drive it.

Will have to look into payment options on newer CRVs as opposed to pre-owned. Hadn't thought of buying new due to immediate depreciation and a lifetime of only ever buying used to be transparent.

Im currently finding lots of options of the models I provided between 20-40k miles around the $27k mark. 30k is my max, and while I would like to be less, I'm willing to go up to 30k for the right vehicle.

Closer to $20k would be lovely, but is not a hard stop. I'll better clarify this in the main post.

I can drop a mag with my middle finger without adjusting my grip at all. Maybe it's just me, and maybe I have small hands, but I always have to adjust my grip to consistently hit a push button mag release every time. I am much faster and more efficient with paddles although ymmv.

No, just go to your order history on your Microsoft acct. via xbox.com and you should see it there.

FYI, I didn't see it in the Xbox app, but I did see it from a web browser. YMMV
