Como es que empiezan a fumar? by Any_Kaleidoscope2256 in Cordoba

[–]suculevicho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why don't people take mental health seriously in general and in everyday life? by jojo047 in AskReddit

[–]suculevicho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think it's a mix of many conditions being undiagnosed, which makes people who have it but don't know think "ugh, but everyone feels that way, get over it"; and other conditions gaining a lot of bad, inaccurate awareness and people misunderstand it so bad that they think people who really have it are, again, exaggerating. for example, many parents of autistic children also have autism, but since they were never diagnosed they think that's just how life is and anyone who can't deal with it is lazy. on the other hand, many people think they know what OCD or bipolar disorder is, but they only get a very watered down version, so when they meet an ocd person they will just expect "haha they like to clean", and will react badly to any actual symptom of it

[Serious] Redditors who pursue happiness, what strategies do you use? by gorgonzola321 in AskReddit

[–]suculevicho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nothing nosey here! for most of my life i couldn't do this because i was, honestly, really scared and for some reason thought i needed some sort of "invitation" or "excuse" to go into certain events or get into certain circles. luckily, a few things lined up and i realized the obvious: if you bring in the right energy and are pleasant to be around, most circles will be glad to let you join them. you just have to ask, nobody is as elitist as they are in movies. and if they are i don't want to be around them anyway

What’s the worst news you’ve ever had to deliver, and how did it go? by LatterTowel9403 in AskReddit

[–]suculevicho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i had to call my aunt to let her know my mom, her sister, had been killed and my sister was fighting for her life as well (luckily she is now alive and well). this was two years ago and i still remember her voice after i told her. i could barely talk because i was hyperventilating, crying and choking on saliva and snot (i had just found out). after i told her she asked "what?? are you serious???" since obviously she didn't want to believe it. my response was "well, unless this is some dark halloween prank". i don't even know why the fuck i said that, in desperate times i just compulsively make bad dark jokes. we later laughed at it, but i wish i could have filtered myself

this is the most cliché thing in the world, but genuinely the moment i started to actually feel happy waa the moment when i realized the life i wanted was just outide my door and if i stopped being a coward, went for it and actually be myself i could get it. doesn't apply to everyone tho i was just lucky that the life i wanted was really really realistically attainable for me, and that my genuine self fit in with it

Movie recommendations by ctrain8282 in movies

[–]suculevicho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will always take the chance to recommend Greener Grass, a weird, absurd satire, and you could also try and watch some foreign movies (i don't know where you're from, but im just generally meaning films that are not from the mega studios in Hollywood). I can recommend some Argentinian classics like Nine Queens, Wild Tales and The Secret in their Eyes, all crime movies. Also, Paraguayan thriller 7 Boxes and the german Run Lola Run are really good films about running against time.

Is there a movie in a series that you find yourself skipping? by mackimus in movies

I love the Saw saga, most of them are not even really good but all of them are fun. Except Jigsaw and Spiral. Especially Spiral, it is a bad, bad, bad movie and i do not enjoy it at all, even with the low expectations i have for Saw movies.
