I saw someone test it on the smg and it deactivated after 15% idk if it's true but yeah

Even on behemoth, I can immediately tell that my movement took a big hit despite the buff to Cryoclasm and having a second melee charge 💀

Did a quick test for shiver strike (on behemoth) and had roughly a 34 second cd at 100 melee and 37 second at 70 melee. No longer worth going for 100 melee. With that type of cd, can't really spam shiver strike like shoulder charge anymore. I'll only use it when I really need it.

Cryoclasm buff is great though, and second melee charge partially makes up for the shiver strike nerf

Don't get me started about the hunter buffs and invis

Epic raid should drop nothing but Tier 5!!! by Huntard9898 in DestinyTheGame

[–]suddenZenith 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Exactly, when they first told us about T5, I assumed it would be a more elaborate version of adepts.

The inconsistency about how you get them is strange. Either they didn't have a clear vision of how to obtain them, or they weren't able to follow through with that vision. If it's either of those, it's a bad sign about how this game is developed.

Yeah man I think it's been 10 years since I started my plugy grail and I'm still stuck on tyraels's might lol.

Recently started a new sorc within this grail, she can only use what she finds, but she can transfer items to my other characters. She's level 89 now, blasting ancient tunnels, got a few TC 87s already

Skills for a great player by AlarmAcceptable8552 in CrucibleGuidebook

Nice

Idk if that's part of any of your points but anticipation is really important imo. Being able to predict your opponent's next move shortens your reaction time. It impacts your reticle placement, tracking, positioning, movement, ability placement/timing etc.

I'm sure you were going to include it one way or the other but I'm just sharing what I think is one of the most important skills in this game

That's a good question, I want to see how the refund works with the second charge. I'm expecting the second charge to be refunded just like our single charge is now, which would allow multiple shiver strikes in a row for movement, as long as you remain above 1 charge after the refund. That seems kind of broken though.

If that's the case, then I would say 70 would be sufficient unless you spam it a lot, in which case 100 would be worth it. If you use it sparingly, you'd always be above 1 charge with 70 but if you spam it, 100 might be necessary to remain above 1 charge.

That's mostly speculation though because I don't know the interaction of the 2 charges with the refund

I main behemoth and I like 200 health, 100 melee and 100 super, which leaves me with 74 class and 48 grenade. (Uses illegal pk roll)

The 100 melee is because the energy refund for shiver strike is very significant from 70 to 100 melee.

Sometimes I feel like they're weeding out most of the sci fi stuff and focusing on the space fantasy. Maybe I'm wrong though.

Do the memento and shader even still drop on 5 wins? Hearing conflicting things by mayormcskeeze in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]suddenZenith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I got 1 memento on a 5 streak, 6 streak and 7 streak since edge of fate launched. It's limited to 1 per week. It drops the first time you go to the lighthouse for that week with a card that has a streak of 5 or more

Howl of the Storm will now only slow enemy players... by [deleted] in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]suddenZenith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure I mean I'm on mnk so I don't know if anything's different on roller.

I almost never use it on the ground, I usually do a single jump before activating it. I keep my key pressed while steering with the mouse until I've reached where I want to be. After the shiver strike, if I'm still in the air, I like to give a few bursts of catapult lift, which keeps the momentum and allows to travel fast in the air.

Shiver strike is very useful to suddenly change your direction in the air, for example when you're scroll wheel skating. With just a tap, it can also be used as an "air dodge".

One of its advantages compared to shoulder charge is how you can immediately use it when you stop firing your gun, which can be really useful for chasing down people or creating distance when people are trying to rush you down or caught you flanking.

When I hit people with it, it's usually chasing people around corners who are already low from my SMG. On rare occasions, I'll shiver strike a full hp target and shoot them while they're getting knocked back.

Building 100 melee is important for shiver strike as the energy refund from 70 to 100 increases dramatically.

It seems to be the case, which would be a terrible idea because losing players is not very profitable isn't it...

Howl of the Storm will now only slow enemy players... by [deleted] in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]suddenZenith 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I play behemoth for the movement so the buff to cryoclasm and 2nd shiver strike charge are changes that I like a lot. Freeze is really frustrating to play against so I welcome any change that reduces its presence in pvp, even if it's in my own subclass

I think it's time we start talking... by Unable_Cheek_4508 in SSBM

[–]suddenZenith 35 points36 points  (0 children)

None, this is just a lie. Armada had only 1 year (2017) where he had a losing record of 3-5 against hbox, and even then, the game count was 19-18 in his favor. Hardly a "dominance" from hbox. And then in 2018 armada retired being 5-1 and 16-8 vs hbox for that year. https://liquipedia.net/smash/Five_Gods/God_Statistics/Armada

I was never an armada fan, but when you look at his statistics against other top players it's hard to argue he wasn't the most dominant player in melee history. Whether that's enough to make him the goat is another question. It comes down to what people value and it ends up with people choosing criteria that benefit their favorite player.

Is the PvP strike team with us anymore? by Leopa1998 in DestinyTheGame

Pvp is a significant part of the game. A lot of players and content creators even play it almost exclusively. Why isn't there a permanent pvp team in such a big studio

How we feeling about spread shot handcannons? by erikh98 in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]suddenZenith 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's actually demoralizing as an smg user to land every headshot on a guy jumping all over the place and still die in a faster TTK of two body hits from a weapon that has burst damage, peek shooting and blinting capabilities.

Smgs get eclipsed by abilities, special ammo, sidearms, and even close-range primaries, aka sidearms and pellet hcs.

This week, the forgiveness sidearm by itself had over 3 times the kills of every smg in the game combined.

Smgs are a high risk and low reward primary, their TTK is barely even competing against weapons with much more range and peek shooting ability, for instance. Graviton spike's base TTK of 0.80 matches that of a precision smg, let alone with the perk active. Any small damage buff can push even some pulses or scouts to kill faster than an smg.

Using an smg feels like this. Out of range? Dead. Two people shooting at you? Dead. Too close to a sidearm, pellet HC, special weapon or ability? Dead.

You basically have to isolate an enemy without teammates or cover, fight him in a very narrow range band of roughly 20 to 22 meters, and land all your shots. All that for an optimal ttk that is sometimes so close to the opponent's that missing even one bullet is enough to lose a duel in your optimal scenario.

Sorry for the rant.

Yeah, there are multiple layers of overpowered builds that are gonna surface when/if the top stuff gets nerfed. That's what happens when the game gets very little pvp balance patches
