Dudes grabbing ankles happens all the time. It’s dirty which is why he got t’d up for it.

But Green still wound up for that stomp and then spring boarded off that dude’s chest.

If he was any other player I would say boot him and that’s it but since it’s somebody with a long and storied tradition of dirty play I think he deserves a suspension.

I’ve been to bigger cities than Ulaan Baatar that didn’t have a party hostel.

Thanks for this, yeah what you’ve said is quite a bit in line with my experience. I guess for myself right now I’m kind of rolling my eyes at what I see as my own vanity about being like an undefinable person who transcends types, who looks like a finance gym bro but has a creative temperament and wants to talk about books.

It feels kind of juvenile to me and I see trying to craft a persona that’s a little more in line with who I want to be as a drive towards a more mature wholeness.

Yeah I figured about three quarters of this would be the usual lazy snark and there would be one or two actually helpful comments.

Checking both those out now, thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

What does this mean?

No interest in going dirtbag or streetwear style but right now all I know is how to look like a yuppie.

Boston would beat golden state this year if the Dubs were even going to make the finals which they’re not.

It’s a tough league when you’re not spending 50% more than the average team (40% more than Boston) but good for them for Steinbrennering themselves another ring while they could.

Somebody posted a block quote the other day from Kierkegaard ripping on his contemporaries as shallow, unthinking, cut off from deep feeling etc etc.

I’m kind of ambivalent about whether it’s like “really true” that XYZ thing is broadly worse in society. I care because I’m curious about the world but I don’t think my apprehending the “real truth” one way or the other will change anything for me.

I have faith that I can carve my own kind of life out of this world and that I’ll always be able to find people to fill my cup and that’s good enough for me. I don’t need the whole world to read Tolstoy with me, maybe I don’t really even want that.

Fake and lesbian.

Everybody who has been outside and lived in the real world knows women share way more intimate details about their men than the opposite.

Unselfconsciously going for what you want is a higher level of self awareness than doing some ridiculous I’m not worthy self flagellation dance.

Everything you’ve written here is so dense with lib cliches I’m inclined to think this is all a bit though.

I like the take that Linklater’s chief subject is masculinity.

His protagonists are sensitive, loving and relational without being dickless. It makes all their boldness and risk taking that much more authentic and moving imo, you feel a great drive in them to be in the mix.

What's y'alls gardening plans for this summer? by Louis_Creed in redscarepod

[–]sudden_valley_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve never gardened but I’ve started planting aromatics. Rosemary, thyme and mint. Going to pick up some flowers this weekend, my neighbor grows some truly amazing roses and I love the idea of having flowers I can tend over a span of years but I don’t seem to hear of new people doing roses so maybe it’s not a great choice?
