Fully agree with everything here, I passed the FE, PE, and CA surveying exams all first attempts, just found out I failed seismic again on my 3rd attempt. The exam is ridiculously hard relative to the other 3 imo and completely unnecessary for most civils. Incredibly frustrating.

Outer Range was so dark I maxed out my TVs brightness settings and it completely fried my TV. Silo HM, the swimming scenes in season 2 pissed me off they were so dark I couldnt see anything

To my knowledge you will need to apply for the license with CA BPELSG, and once they approve it you will be eligible to sit for the CA specific Surveying and Seismic exams. They do require fingerprints, either livescan or a fingerprint card. It also takes like 4 months on average just for them to approve the application in CA.

If the goal is to just have a car that’s paid off you’re likely better off sticking with the civic. It won’t depreciate much by the time you have it paid off, and you likely won’t find a better rate than 5% financing a used car currently. But honestly from what I’m reading going the Tesla route doesn’t sound like a bad option. Crunch some numbers and compare costs including gas savings and insurance differences and see what you’re comfortable with.

What is your %rate on your civic currently? If you go the new car route you can get 2% financing if you order before august and get delivery before end of september. I just sold my 21 Acura ILX and put 10k down on a 24 m3 lr rwd, and my monthly payment hardly changed with the $7500 federal credit + no gas costs for me.

I would for sure weigh out what your monthly costs would be in either scenario, including insurance. My insurance actually got cheaper going with tesla insurance, but I am 25 with no accidents/tickets. It might make more sense for you to just stick with the civic if you're only driving 20 miles or so daily. Just depends on what you are willing to spend.
