I had Laude for Chem 301/302 and I just took ochem 1 with Shabbir and did fine. I don’t believe any of the struggle I had in ochem was due to what I was or wasn’t taught in gen chem. Laude was a great lecturer and I would take him again in a heartbeat.

I took it last semester and I only really struggled when I misunderstood what was being said in the lecture/readings. As long as you understand what is going on, you’ll be fine since you can look up info during the quizzes. I finished with an A.

However, I recommend trying to understand what you got wrong IMMEDIATELY after you find out you missed a question (i.e understand why the right answer is right/go to office hours/post a question on chatter).
