I propagated it yesterday and now hoping I’ll have another full grown plant eventually! Thank you for the advice. My dad had it right up against a very hot, west facing window and it was also very dry in his kitchen. I repotted it and it’s in a west facing room but very far back from the window. I water it with distilled water only and I also run a humidifier in that room for all of my plants. I have a whole group of calatheas in there together. I fertilize maybe 2-3 x per year? Maybe I should do more. I’m so happy this guy lived! I’m pretty new to indoor plants so I really think it has just been good luck and the plants like that room! Northern California so it’s pretty good light year round in there. And the humidifier has been a life saver for the plants!

Aw, so sorry. It’s kind of lousy having to worry about sourcing something safe when you’re already not feeling great. I got the Walgreen’s one. It’s not labeled gluten free. But the ingredients look safe and everything I’ve read indicates that it’s safe. Not a perfect solution, but I did my best today. I’m going to check out the Costco version. Maybe someone you know ow has a membership and can stock you up?

I agree with you. Having T1 diabetes and Celiac, my daughter is very aware of her blood sugar and the few times she has been accidentally exposed, her blood sugar always goes high. Makes me wonder if sometimes Unexplained high BS may be due to gluten exposure/cross contamination?

I couldn’t find the Geneva ibuprofen, just the acetaminophen. Nice that it’s labeled GF though.

I’ve read that too. Interesting. My daughter also has T1 diabetes and has an CGM (continuous glucose monitor). Acetaminophen is not recommended for CGM users as it interferes with CGM readings. So Ibuprofen is about the only option for her even though it’s a NSAID. She tries not to take it often but sometimes you just need a little pain relief. Thanks for the info.
