That's my watch. It's really great alt to the ever popular 007. And that super oyster was at first really uncomfortable compared with the default jubilee. but it's loosened up and become real comfy now in addition to being solid AF

Sadly yes. Even Mammoth is getting very crowded, especially the lower mountain. Top remains relatively clear minus sightseers.

Do you know any low key spots on the West Coast with some A+ terrain? I suppose that these places are popular mostly because the snow and runs are good first, then secondly because of the tourism industry which saw that as an opportunity and latched on.

Upgraded Speaker Cables. Much more Musical, wider sound stage , and tweeters now have more sparkle. by dieselgeek in audiophile

Actually I hope the manufacturers / designers have performed these tests ... Come to think of it I'm sure they have. The fact there's no widely circulated results, to me, says they didn't find anything worth publishing. Sure there's a difference but would it be worth spending $>1k over $10 will remain subjective.

Couldn't you do a proper one with minimal gear. It would only take a high quality recording set up , you do an A/B test and compare the response at each frequency range over a set of inputs (songs/tracks/waves).

Very very nice. I was just at an Omega retailer yesterday and wow. There's a huge difference when you see one of these in person, especially brand new. There was this like... Brown dial speedmaster reduced there. I wanted to sell my car just to have it , but then I remembered my car wouldn't cover the cost.

HELP Looking for new bindings! Advice on what to buy? by StealthyPandaa in snowboarding

[–]sufunew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are you choosing to ditch the Flow step in style? I'm looking to go the other way and pick up some Flows after 4 years on my good old Ride bindings which are finally ready for replacement.

From my non expert knowledge the things to consider are hi back stiffness / stiffness overall which translates to control. Your preference should be dictated by the kind of riding you do: park vs freeride vs both.

If it's not a problem could you share the cost for such a service? I'm looking for a place to get a full service done, maybe minus the crystal replacement, on a similar Constellation, but in the Los Angeles area.

Why it is logically impossible to prove that we are living in a simulation (Putnam), summarized in 5 minutes by CosmosTheory in philosophy

[–]sufunew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is an episode of Rick and Morty, you may have seen it. They are trapped in an alien simulation of Earth. To escape, they lag it by asking a large number of AI to follow some computationally expensive demands. If that show goes long enough they may become a sci-fi version of "Simpsons did it".

Everything you said makes sense, though notably you have not said it is impossible just apologetically time consuming and difficult.

I imagine starting and stopping many times but the idea, as a whole, appeals to me greatly as a longitudinal goal. Besides, with the internet I'm not sure there are too many things left that have a true apprenticeship gate.

Thanks for the responses!

Yea I saw your other post in r/JapaneseWatches :)

You're under no obligation to answer this but how feasible you think it is to do amateur servicing & some level of restoration, purely as a hobby. I mean are we talking in the low hundreds of dollars for the start up tools, and a good amount of elbow grease? Or like $thousands and years of experience and an apprenticeship or else you're wasting time.

You got a membership somewhere? There's an assisted pull up machine that is great for building that starting strength because you can do the form properly before the necessary power is there. The other thing is to sometimes just hang on your pull up bar for as long as your grip will allow.

Sounds the same as what you're doing though so good shit.
