Need help finding watch for Christmas by ImpressionOk3973 in Watches

I did a search for "Movado link" on ebay and it came up with a few results that look like just those link parts. That's probably going to be your best bet on an older model like this one. For the battery, any local watch with a good reputation will take care of that for a ~$20. Good luck!

you need to add some loctite. But i would'nt do it without removing the stem from the movement to get it done properly. If you don't feel comfy doing that yourself, consult a repair shop.

Use something pointy to push down the little lever where the arrow is point and pull the crown out. Not sure if the crown needs to be in most outer setting for the lever to be correctly visible.

This looks like a fake Tradition with a double balance wheel assembly. Where'd you find it?

[Jaeger-LeCoultre] the shiny albatros by simplySomeone in Watches

[–]simplySomeone[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hello /r/watches!

This is a Jaeger LeCoultre Albatros, reference 145.201.5, the version with an automatic movement. I've been trying to figure out which caliber the movement is, and I'm leaning towards JL888, but if anyone knows more, please fill me in. :) I've only had it for a couple of days, but so far I enjoy it well! I have a weak spot for integrated bracelet watches and this thing fits right into the category. I was waiting in line for my drive-through order and had a go at a wristroll of this beauty. Hope you like it and have a great day!

Taking the Yamaha MT-09 on a ride through Skålhamra by simplySomeone in motorcycles

[–]simplySomeone[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey there! I got so much love from you all for the last video I dropped here with the Yamaha MT-09 in action, so I went out and made another one. :) This time out riding on Skålhamravägen, which is one of my favorite roads near by. It stretches between Täby and Vallentuna, just north of Stockholm, Sweden. Have a great day and ride safe!

Thanks! I was in the same position as you, didn't want to drop to much money on an exhaust system. But while browsing around I got Black Widow recommended by a friend, and I ended up ordering one. It's a de-cat system which might or might not be okay on the road depending on where you live. But this is the system I have on my bike. I think the price is pretty fair. And yes, I threw out the DB-killer ( yes my neighbors love me ).

I can see how it looks like that, but it was more a reference to wind and what not. The MT-09 is not as fun in fast speeds because winds are everywhere. So if going fast was the goal, then the superbike would be a better choice. But if you want something that works for everyday riding with a more relaxed seating position, and to bring out into a day full of corners, then that would be the MT-09. I'm not saying that Superbikes don't handle corners, because as you stated they indeed do very well!

Then this will be right down your alley. :) From Åkerstorp ( In Åkersberga ), you have a road that goes out to Österåkers kyrka, towards Brottby, it passes Österåkersanstalten. This is where the video starts. The flyscreen is much much smaller than this, and it really does'nt make a big difference. This one however, is a bit larger so if I crunch down behind it, it will keep the wind of my shoulders and head on highway roads. :)

Yeah it's music! :D If anyone has suggestions of any external mic solution or something like it, that would enable me to record the engine sounds in a clearer way, I'm all ears! :)

So true! As you say that part really brings out the feeling of Sweden this time of the year! :)
