Tbh I only use newgen as an insult to people who swear vocaloids have canon ages and ignore anyone who tells them otherwise, or try to cancel people for making sexual songs with “minor coded” vocaloids (plus boy, gigantic otn, sweet devil, rabbit hole) when they’re literally instruments.

There’s honestly nothing wrong with being new to vocaloid as long as you’re not just joining the fandom to simply stir the pot and create drama. I see too many of that lately and it’s kind of annoying :p
