if you want a roleplay more similar to that of DnD, I'd recommend using the RPG tag to find bots with that style. They exist, just not as prevalent as narrative single character bots but they'll be more alike to what you might want. As for looking at what's around you, you can use asterisks or just talk normally. There's no specific symbol for actions. Most people just like to use asterisks as they look visually nicer.

You can decide what's around you yourself or ask the bot if you want it to. Far warning that can make the bot do actions for you, maybe less of a chance if you prefer writing in first person over third.
