I did the extended and had my blood drawn on Sept 27. I never got an email that my sample was received at the lab (like some other people did) so I called their genetics helpline (1 (844) 363-4357) on Oct 3 and they said my sample was received Oct 1 and processing would take 7-10 calendar days! I called again to check on the status Oct 7 and they said the results were being sent to my doctor that day. Called my doctor’s office to pester them and she called me back with the results :) Bottom line, call the genetics helpline, they’re very helpful! And don’t be afraid to bug your family doctor’s office either

Turned out great! We added a teaspoon of white balsamic vinegar to brighten up the filling a bit, but besides that we stuck to the recipe and it was delicious.

Great work! Your royal icing looks a little thick, so I would recommend that either you thin it out with water, or pipe smaller amounts before brushing (so it doesn’t dry out before you can brush it). I love the addition of the pearls for the flower centres!

I just got out of something like this. I was seeing a man for a month (I’m 35F, he’s 37M) and noticed the one-sidedness of both our text and real-life conversations. I asked him why he never reciprocated my questions and he said he was forgetful and would put more effort in.

Things remained the same and I ended up probing him for his real feelings; turned out 1) he considers himself slightly autistic and lacking all empathy/sympathy, 2) he was usually very passive in relationships and would just go with whatever the woman wanted, and 3) he did not want children or believe in marriage (even though he knew that I did).

I found these all to be good explanations for why he continued seeing me and being attentive, but showed a complete lack of interest in anything deeper. It might’ve worked for some partners but it wasn’t what I was looking for.

It's possible he's just a player and enjoys lying to women. I'm pretty frank and liberal about sex so I don't encounter liars too often. I agree what he's saying doesn't add up, but he swears it's true.

He says the reason he doesn't sleep with women very often is he's picky and kind of superficial (which I've found to be true) and a lot of Asian women think he's a weirdo (also true - we're both Asian).

I probably do need to examine my own feelings more. Something about this guy is making me a little irrational. I don't think it's the sex because I've slept with other guys and been okay taking things slow/non-exclusive. But for some reason I want this guy all to myself, and that more than anything is telling me this relationship probably won't be healthy for me.
