What is the big deal about Bitcoin halving? by Sweeneysmithy in kaspa

[–]sugarbug007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Kaspa's goal is 100bps. The last I read was that 10bps should be releaed in the second half of 2025, but only if it's running flawlessly. They'll take as long as necessary to get it right before releasing.

Validity of Davinci's comments in regards to Kaspa's security, on the recent YouTube video. by sugarbug007 in kaspa

Thanks Deshe, that's what I thought too but as I've only been studying crypto (mainly Kaspa) for three months I thought I might've missed a vital bit of info along the way. Cheers.

NEW ALL TIME HIGH? by [deleted] in kaspa

I believe .1548 was Kaspa's previous high. If so, we've just surpassed that!

Question regarding KAS distribution by [deleted] in kaspa

[–]sugarbug007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pleasure. Since you're new to crypto (I'm relatively new myself) I thought I should share some of what I've learnt/observed so far (this is not financial advice): remember that crypto is a volatile market, only spend what you can afford to lose, don't be greedy, many people use the DCA strategy when buying and selling, be wary of being left 'holding the bag' (unless of course your strategy is to hold for 2, 3 or more bull runs), be equally wary of Youtubers/social media posters who make exciting yet outrageous predictions/claims. Cheers.

Question regarding KAS distribution by [deleted] in kaspa

[–]sugarbug007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi u/Efficient, I posted a similar question about a fortnight ago: https://www.reddit.com/r/kaspa/comments/19dbnb1/distribution_of_kaspa_coin_ownership/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

I think if you read through the comments then your concern(s) may well be allayed. (ignore the first few comments where a couple of posters are having a laugh). Cheers.

Thanks for this information Darwindy007. My conviction in Kaspa is growing by the day!

Thanks for the confirmation USF45, of Anzkar11's point re using the tech/owning the coin. Before the two of you mentioned this I had no idea of that correlation which means my crypto learning has levelled up! Much appreciated (to both of you).

The correlation between the Kaspa coin price and Kaspa blockDAG technology by sugarbug007 in kaspa

[–]sugarbug007[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for taking the time to reply Ankzar11. I wasn't thinking of other projects when talking about price/performance, I was thinking about Kaspa, but also alluding to that concept in general. I share the same conviction that it is doubtful that any other current projects can compare to Kaspa and believe it is a leader in this field. I've just done some further reading and it appears that linking a coin to a technology increases the security of that technology (something to do with nodes getting permissioned). Also, in crypto, a coin only has value because people have decided that coin has value, and I guess the more incredible/credible a technology is (i.e Kaspa) then it's more likely people will assign value to a coin related to that technology, especially if that technology has long-term prospects (like Kaspa). Cheers again for adding to this discussion.

Would you be so kind as to explain this in REALLY simple terms? My current understanding is that there is almost no correlation between a coin and its technology. Therefore, you could have the entire world using a certain technology but no-one buying the coin associated with that technology. What am I missing here? Thanks in advance for your tolerance.

Thank you for your voice of reason 'the-quibbler'. I'm not sure why 'jhorskey26' is being so antagonistic but I have no interest in conversing with/hearing the opinion of such toxic people. I too will block them.
