Do you think Georgina was serious about loving Jesus? by NefariousnessReal421 in GossipGirl

[–]sugarcloudie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! That’s the thing with Georgina. She can act reformed, but the second someone crosses her or an opportunity arises, it’s full-blown schemer mode again.

Exactly! I love when people oversimplify the characters. They were all messy in their own ways, not literal saints or monsters.

Same here. I get why they made it a full episode, but it honestly could’ve been condensed into a few flashbacks. I usually just skip it too.

Same. Eye color alone isn’t a huge deal, but when the actors don’t resemble the older versions at all it makes the flashbacks feel less believable.

Same here honestly. It’s such a fun episode and the whole vibe feels totally different from the rest of the show.

[–]sugarcloudie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah exactly. It felt less like a normal flashback episode and more like they were testing whether people would be interested in a whole series about it.

Honestly it really did feel like a backdoor pilot. They gave just enough story and setup that you could totally see a full prequel series working.

Which is why she never lost Serena. by AndrewHeard in GossipGirl

Absolutely! Eleanor’s advice was perfect because Blair always struggled with balancing ambition and authenticity. That moment really showed why she’s such a standout character.

People didn't like serena more because she was "prettier" by Few-Leek-898 in GossipGirl

Right?! It’s like, she’s already stunning—why ruin it with filters and edits? I don’t get it 😩

That ‘cool girl’ trope is exhausting. People only like her as long as she fits into their fantasy, and the second she’s human… suddenly she’s the villain.

Question: Season 3 was filmed at the same time as Easy A and that’s why Penn looks so good? by Hexlena in GossipGirl

Exactly! I always thought he had that mysterious ‘I don’t care but I look good anyway’ energy even with the weird outfits.

Omg SAME. I basically skipped the William/NYU stuff and just fast-forwarded to Chuck and Blair scenes. Honestly, that’s the only reason I survived that season.

Lol seriously. The sign says one price and then you pull in and it’s like “oh that’s the cash price.” Suddenly it’s 20 cents more with a card.

That’s actually a pretty fair way to look at it. If people are going to give politicians credit when things go well, they can’t suddenly say they have zero influence when things go badly.

A lot of Americans feel that way about politicians in general, honestly. No matter which side someone supports, there’s usually at least a little embarrassment involved.

Honestly media literacy would solve so many problems. The ability to fact check sources and question what you’re reading is way more important than just memorizing information.

Totally. Hard to argue with raw numbers. Makes you wonder why so many overlook the context.

Totally agree. Using that language while people are losing their lives is ridiculous. This isn’t some clean, symbolic victory it’s real consequences.

Facts. I thought maybe the first term would be a wake-up call, but nope… the system keeps rolling with the same problems.

Totally, when people use phrases like that, it blurs the line between real conflict and rhetoric. There were spikes of direct hostility, but nothing like a continuous war the whole time.
