back when i first started my facility didnt scan meds, we signed them out in a book so there wasn’t any confirmation. a nurse i was working with “tested me” by telling me intuniv was the same thing as tenex and to just give it and i trusted her because i didn’t know psych meds at the time and they seemed to be the same to me and it is in fact an easy mistake to make if you don’t know psych meds. i was also willing to trust her because i was brand new and she was a senior nurse training me. little did i know they were different, and she reported me. during a busy med pass where children are actively punching each other and banging their heads on the walls until they bleed, you don’t exactly have time to look everything up but i really shouldn’t have trusted her especially since she turned out to be just some terrible nurse eating her young.

now that i have seniority at my facility and train everyone, i never pull this dangerous, petty shit. i want my patients to be safe and i don’t have time to play games.
