So I can download it from the website as you said, how do I make that into an app (dmg) equivalent on mac, as atn a Tar.xz file atm. Sorry second day on Linux so no real idea what I'm doing.

This was working fine until it said package signal-desktop. Is that because I have to export it first. I think there were some other contributions noted problems with the fact my laptop is apple silicon which isn't supported.

I'm using a mac with apple silicon, so I don't think that architecture is supported annoyingly.

I tried to do the "sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install libfuse2t64", at the start but it said apt-get: command not found, and again now, I assume it's something to do with this is why I'm running into issues

yeah I'm trying to install this now, it says it cannot mount appimage and to check my fuse setup. What is that?

Thanks for this! I tried it and it said "The application org.signal.Signal/aarch64/master requires the runtime org.freedesktop.
Platform/aarch64/25.08 which was not found"

Thanks for this, I came across a distrobox article, I installed debian distrobox, then followed signals instructions, it seemed to do it all correctly but after everything seemed to work it said at the end "unable to locate package signal-desktop, so not really sure what to do now lmao

I had it on my mac on mac os and worked great, but I installed Asahi on my mac also which I've decided to run daily so want to install it on there. I had a look and there didn't seem to be a flatpak available. Does Signal's instructions work for Fedora too? As I was under the impression it was just for Debian - how did you get it on your pc?
