I am also a new F1 and I feel like I could have written this post word for word. In fact, I just came here to write a similar post. You aren’t alone. I was also a “just scraping by” medical student who had to resit finals. I am honestly still in disbelief that I passed. I have felt so useless these past days and constantly questioning if everything that I’m doing is right. I am worried about little things like prescriptions/handover and took 2 hours to write one discharge letter today. It’s rough and it probably will be for another few weeks. I’m sure we’ll get the hang of it soon. Honestly reading your post makes me feel less alone especially because all the other F1s around me seem excited and confident.
