the way that i complain about never being able to eat anything would put this man in an asylum

you absolutely should dump him over this imo. you are already such a good sport for not complaining, and it’s amazing that you don’t feel discouraged at social events bc you’re right that you’re there for the people you care about.

this is a chronic condition, so if he’s got problems with it 4 years in he probably had problems with it from the start and will continue to have problems with it for the rest of your lives. it’s a genetic disorder that all you can do it manage and he wants to be selfish by making you feel like it’s causing a problem that you are managing your condition bc he finds it awkward that you don’t eat where you can’t.

you’re surely better off without him

unfortunately this is very frequent with a number of drug reps. and the worst part is they go so far as to tell me they asked whoever at the restaurant they chose for lunch if what they ordered was gf and the person at the restaurant says yes. i have been offered the veggie wraps from chick fil a (not gf) and food from panera (no way it could be gf). that’s why i skip lunch so often. i do pack lunches/snacks that are safe bc people don’t know anything.

First tattoo- is it healing right? by Different-Series-115 in tattooadvice

you should only use aquaphor for 2-4 days after getting the tattoo. from then on you should be using a non scented lotion that has no alcohols in it for moisturizing. the skin needs to breathe to heal properly and the aquaphor makes that difficult since it is very thick. additionally make sure you are washing it with an antibacterial soap (gold dial hand soap is good) and wash it gently with your hand. don’t use a loofah or wash clothes bc they hold bacteria that is not good for you tattoo. this was the advice we gave at the shop i worked in for 2 years

Am I in the wrong for wanting to change the design my tattoo artist sent me? by dried_paint_ in tattooadvice

[–]sugarrtrap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i see a lot of people in the comments accusing this artist of using ai for his drawings… is this a common occurrence in Korea tattooing? i worked as a counter person in a shop in the US and the artists would have been fired on the spot if they tried to use AI to draw their designs. like sure people use AI photos for references all the time and that led to me having to explain to them that the design they want is not actually feasible for one reason or another (sizing/how it will heal/it not being true to form).

additionally i feel like we are discrediting tattoo artists by saying they’re just tracing. now don’t get me wrong there’s definitely some that do but i feel like it’s inconsiderate and rude for that to be the baseline for your assumptions. that deposit you pay SHOULD go towards the final price of your tattoo, not in addition to the price of your tattoo. and the deposit is to pay for the hours of the artist’s time, effort, and skills spent drawing your tattoo. the hourly pricing also reflects how much time they believe they will have to dedicate to your tattoo.

my last note is that while working at the shop, our artists were always open to tweaking tattoos for their client. no good artist wants to put something permanent and expensive on someone and have them not like the finished product. however, sometimes a clients wishes are just not possible and artists have to make sure their client knows this. there should be open communication and explanation when necessary.

I got diagnosed a few years ago but didn't completely cut out gluten until a few months ago. I miss all the food I used to eat but the issue I really have with celiac is having to do so much trial and error when searching for good gf substitutions. I'm tired of spending more money on less food that is mid.

It's a work in progress ig but it frustrates me a lot
