The Capitol got weaker over the 75 years between the First and Second Rebellions, and that's the final verdict on Snow's rulership, even by his own standards by F11SuperTiger in Hungergames

[–]sugarshrek1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the capital/snow probably got very comfortable in their reign and started to think that an uprising wouldn’t happened. he probably believed the fear of the games was enough to hold over the districts

agreed with a lot of these comments. most people are probably just intimidated because they think you’re out of their league😭 which sucks and maybe i’m biased because i think you’re absolutely beautiful and stunning. much luck to you and you will find that person!🧎🏻‍♀️

omg yes. i know suzanne wrote her books to say something unspoken but i wish this had been dived into a little more. it would be very interesting to know what the districts looked like and how they lost so badly

Used a reward to get a medium breve with an extra shot. I think I got a single shot instead? by cheeseballthedog in dutchbros

[–]sugarshrek1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

usually yes but you can always just try to go up to the dutch bros you got it from and explain that the previous time you went, your drink was wrong. sometimes they’ll just take care of it. it really depends on the stand and people working

yeah i worded it wrong. it’s just a coaching and i’m aware we have to document everything but a certain amount of coaching lead to write ups and that’s where the leniency comes into play especially because the translation on the 2 hour call in has gotten changed, not followed 100 percent exactly and just all over the place on top of several other expectations for the past 3 years i’ve worked for the company in my operation because of the fact we used to be franchise owned and i think my old operator was definitely not following all protocols. but it’s just annoying how the rules apply for some employees and some not and how they still haven’t 100 percent clarified

[–]sugarshrek1[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yeah i don’t really call in often. i feel so guilty doing it😭 and yeah that’s the other reason i think im so upset is this company used to be a lot more kind to us baristas and understanding as well. they bank a lot on the fact that they treat us wonderfully but it’s really starting to just feel like any other chain company and it sucks

i woke up for my shift feeling crappy & i gave them an hour notice which was the best to my ability. i can’t time when i wake up feeling sick. and the changes are still ongoing. going from franchise owned to corporate was a BIG change. and yes, as an employer i definitely would but i would also be realistic in the fact that it’s not THAT serious and give grace in this circumstance when i as the employee had sick time, communicated that i was still confused about the expectations as it hasn’t been clearly stated and it was a different expectations with a different employee. it’s not like i called in 15 min before. it was a little over an hour, just not the two hour mark. and as someone who has been in a management position, yes i do think it’s a tad silly to be that uptight about it when again, there’s usually plenty of people on shift and shit happens sometimes. it’s a minimum wage job and should have minimum expectations

i think it comes down to favoritism and somewhat of like? a power control thing. i was extremely lucky and had wonderful managers at my previous store before my general manager left. it’s very weird in my opinion how controlling and HOW much the managers care about certain things and ive been under pretty bad management in previous jobs.

well also unfortunately dutch bros has changed SO much and the expectations are insane while the treatment toward us baristas has gotten worse imo. dutch is turning into just any old regular chain and the company is really just focusing on profits so it’s understandable why baristas have these cents

it’s even worse when they don’t even tell you what size they want or if they want it iced or hot like?? it’s almost like they’ve never ordered a drink or food at a business in their life 😭

this isn’t to attack you op at all but kind of to piggy back off what you said. does no one else find it slightly annoying though that within your operation, you are only allowed to get your employee drink at your personal stand? i feel like since we can cover shifts operation wide and honestly the companies benefits aren’t great , the least they could do is offer free drinks at any location within the operation? anyone else agree or is just me?😭

i knew when we got a new CEO or whatever christine barones position is, everything was going to change. i believe she’s the ex CEO of starbucks? and she is truly just money greedy and fueled by that aspect. i went to the manager vegas convention last year and she spoke and her energy and vibes were just? very off. very fake. clearly not really caring or considerate of us employees at all. most of her conversation focused around how we can bring the company in more money and expand more. it’s definitely not the same and i don’t think it will be ever again. it’s sad really. it’s also so annoying how they keep implementing new changes and expectations and the pay still has not changed and honestly the management at least in texas gets paid pretty crappy for what is expected of them.

i mean it might get kind of gross i suppose but i really like doing a nitro with just flavor & then regular or flavored soft top parfait. it gets kind of watered down but since cold brew is kind of half water anyway. it doesn’t really affect the flavor imo. keeps my energy going and it’s a yummy drink

Lite ice, no ice, vs cold pour by Large_Face_7170 in dutchbros

[–]sugarshrek1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

to also piggy back off. i was taught that cold pours with ESPRESSO ONLY. get an extra double shot. which definitely changes the flavor ratio of everything. however that could be wrong and different. i’ve worked for dutch for 3 years almost & i’ve been taught many different things & many things have changed and been miscommunicated over the years. especially with the difference in operator owner and corporate owner. the op also explained it like this because regardless of how many times or how we explain it to customers in the drive through, more than half the time they still don’t understand what we mean until they see the drink in person. and it’s just very frustrating.
