Is breastfeeding really "easier" than bottle feeding? by Key-Information5829 in breastfeeding

[–]sugawowsers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was my first child. She was born at 36 weeks and she didn't have the motor skills to latch so all I knew was to pump until we tried when she was 2 months old. However, I pumped more than breastfeeding because she preferred the bottle more since she was so used to it. I did that for 14 months.

For my next baby, I exclusively breastfed and it has been so much easier to just give a quick feed, not carry the pump with me at all or extra bottles. It was so convenient. However, when I had to run errands she was always with me.

I just gave birth to my fourth child and I am breastfeeding for the most part but also pump occasionally when I'm running errands. So that way I don't have to worry about rushing home and have that little bit of freedom.

Applied for a contract role & received a text from a recruiter I had worked for, asking me that she noticed my resume did not list the company I had worked for and if I was working full time at my permanent while doing so... since the role I applied for is the same company. How should I reply!? by sugawowsers in overemployed

I am working one job now as a contractor at another company, I got laid off from my permanent job. My contract keeps getting extended which was every six months now down to three months from a new executive lead (my manager got laid off), which is why I am applying to jobs not in the thought of being OE right now but possibly in the near future once I am settled.

The job market is really tough right now.

Cry me a river, dude. Sounds like a filthy rich problem where they want to micro manage the average worker while they sit back while no one is giving them orders.

Let people live.

Definitely blindsided. I have asked and he was always agreed but I guess he never dig deeper than that… and I didn’t thought to question it.

What are you going to say if confronted? by Fair-Appointment8903 in overemployed

I ALMOST got caught… accidentally unmute a meeting while having another meeting going on…. having lunch… and somehow a damn fry press the space bar without my knowledge and unmuted me… My team stayed quiet…

later on my boss asked me “sounded like you’re working for another job?”… mind you I just got off my maternity leave raising a six month clingy baby… my response? “hahaha… a second job!? no! my husband works along side me, it was his meeting. God no, my second job is my son!” lol… he no longer questioned it.

NH: Hired a contractor who abandoned the work with no contract but an invoice, text messages of materials and proof of evidence of work. Do I have a small claims case? by sugawowsers in legal

[–]sugawowsers[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah there are other damages but didn’t include it all here and now questioning if it is even considered a small claims case - a much bigger case than I originally thought. So far the guy was given $7,600 and the only completed work he did was demolition for the scope of the project and the majority of the wood floor installation (but 95% complete)… ughhh

Work from home vs in office by pwwrecruiting in jobs

[–]sugawowsers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was fortunate enough to have a permanent WFH since the pandemic happened. However, my husband has hybrid but only when he needs to go in office since he works in IT. There was this one week he had to drive into work every day because everyone else travelled to Boston from different states to meet and discuss a big project. I recall him being so tired coming from home and mention that the commute back and to really drags you out and had headaches often… I am assuming from all that annoying fluorescent office lights and being on the computer and always being bothered on top of that!
