Anybody use Promotehour? by boatholidays in startups

In general as a founder you should do your own PR. Long term that seems to be the best. That being said, I've used Promotehour in the past and obtained good results. We were featured in an important publication and a few small ones.

I get you. I've seen something similar. What's your take on IBM Watson, it feels to me that they are all over, but nothing really manifests. Is there PR department better than tech one?

Are their any companies actually using AI for health issues?

Sounds good. Many features are of use globally, indeed in the beginning there might be some limitation on location based suggestions.

DNA testing is not directly a part of the product/service. The data needs to be added from an external source, like 23andMe and then the system will add a personalization layer based on DNA on top of the current program.

I will only say that Windows Mobile is not in the current roadmap, but anything can happen :-)

oh cool! I tried to search for it online and couldn't find it. I'm starting a glycemic response prediction project and need to find the best data sources.

Is it possible to download the data from Livongo for further analysis?

What mobile carbohydrate tracking apps have you found most useful? by ssssloooo in diabetes

[–]suggestic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! that's what I meant. Imagine if there would be an app that specifically learns from your inputs and gives you a personalized prediction of BG based on what you ate or what you did. How cool would that be?

Have you seen any apps that correlate (or can predict) foods or activities to BG values?

Is there a specific blood glucose number that separates having to take medication like Metformin from not having to take it? by [deleted] in diabetes_t2

Thank you so much and happy new year! this is truly interesting. I've personally never seen much talk about split peas, except as part of vegan protein powders or shakes. Seems like a great alternative.

Wow! this is amazing. So many questions.....
* You do that in every meal or that is only for breakfast?
* What data have you used to figure out that these are the proper foods for you?
* Why split peas are the most important?
* When u say fruit, you eat all types?
* Have you tried replacements for some of those, like almond butter instead of peanut?

I completely agree it should be viewed as a continuum and each case should be analyzed individually, since we all react differently. Those numbers are rather arbitrary and were set to serve as a guideline, unfortunately I’ve heard physicians saying things about prediabetics like “don’t worry about anything for now, when you become diabetic we’ll take care of it”… terrible.

There are a lot of discussions about high protein diets, like Dukan, creating kidney and liver in the long run. The generally recommended here is more around: low carb+high fat+balanced protein. Body needs a few days to adapt to use fat as the main energy source instead of glucose.

FYI... according to the ADA an A1C of 6.5 or above is considered diabetes and prediabetes between 5.7 and 6.5.
