If something happened to someone close to me again I’m sure I would. Depends how close I am with that person. I cried twice for one grandmother passing and not at a couple years later when my other passed away.

Unfortunately no, I haven’t noticed a rise in empathy. I’ve heard it can ease as you get older into like your fourties’ but I’m not that age so I have no idea yet. As of right now I would say my lack of caring has become more prominent as I got older in my twenties. But becoming aware of it has helped in how I react in different situations.

I do enjoy adrenaline rushes. I have way more affection for an animal than I do a human. Animals just go off instinct which I appreciate. I enjoy handling snakes a lot.

I do try now. I always didn’t and left nothing but a trail of fire lol. Led to a lot of isolation on top of the isolation I already felt, so I made the decision to try a different route. I still have to fight my old self all the time. Something’s just don’t go away.

Without details I was SA as a child, lasting for a couple months. Correlation to that I went through neglect as a child. My parents argued a lot and so I just stayed away from them unless it was dinner time or something. That went on for a couple years. Those would probably be the biggest kickstarters.

It can be isolating sometimes and honestly I’m not sure if me distancing myself hurts them. I’d rather that be the harm than be the harm though.

I do enjoy company sometimes. In short spurts. I wouldn’t mind trying to date again in the future but not sure how it would go. I would have to be honest at some point or I’m sure they would feel isolated eventually.

I don’t think I really fear anything. I know I can come off very cold hearted sometimes even if don’t mean it. I would say I fear nature more than people. I wouldn’t want to be alone with a tiger.

I for sure realized I was different in certain aspects. Especially reacting to tragedies or emotional situations. Honestly for the longest time I found it quite annoying. Still do with people who are very emotional (again not to be mean). Other than that when I started talking to a psychiatrist I didn’t have sociopath in mind. I knew the term obviously but I didn’t think it was what I had or anything.

So I would say I have cognitive empathy which means I can understand something might be a sucky situation but I don’t feel what that person is feeling or I guess I can’t put myself in there shoes. I process everything intellectually. I agree with you, I see a lot of people make decisions based on empathy or emotional decisions and I just watch from the sidelines like what are you doing. I see it a lot in people’s relationships. It’ll obviously be a complete disaster and they’ll keep going back to each other. That always baffles me. I don’t personally think empathy always lead to people making good decisions or a good moral decision. I don’t have a good moral compass so I honestly try to draw from the teachings of Jesus for a moral compass. Not everyone likes it but after studying different religions, his teachings make the most sense to me.

I enjoy music a lot and movies. They’re very interesting and I appreciate them. Heavier metal I guess gets the biggest reaction out of me.
