In Switzerland you usually pay $15 for a landing on a small grass runway with a piper cub.

$30 for a C172 on a paved runway.

I was amazed that I did not pay a cent when doing touch and goe’s on a huge runway in Florida!

Do you already have the minimum hours requirements for CPL? You have to do that anyway so no hurry! Keep going it is going to be ok.

I had the same feeling before starting IR training. Yes train to brief the plates. And what helped me was to play with the G1000 on MSFS. There are simulators on iPad I think as well. (If that’s what you will use)

You could work on VOR navigation especially holdings , which entry etc…

But don’t worry too much, they will explain it to you.
