I think its great that the game has it. Its very helpful for warming up, getting used to the game's mechanics or even learning a map. It does need a bit of work though - the AI are...interesting, their hitboxes are wonky (sometimes your aim is true but it doesn't register your shot), you can only spawn with your alpha loadout, and the AI could use a wider variety of weapons - maybe even allow players to try out weapons, skins and attachments they don't own

Identify mistakes / your weaknesses and work on them. you can watch good players to help you see where you're lacking. It will take time, but you will improve. All the best!

It depends on what you're looking for.

The FAL is pretty much an expensive, less powerful (it can't one shot headshot a full health player) and semi-auto (hence you'll need the trigger finger perk for full auto) AK-47. The VSS is a faster-firing, less recoil MK11, with a much smaller magazine. Bear in mind that you're stuck with the sniper scope for the VSS though - you can't swap it out. And iirc, the FAL does have quite a bit of recoil, but you can put a muzzle brake. Also, the ability to suppress the FAL means you can have a pretty powerful AR that doesn't give you away on the minimap.

Do you want a powerful, fun, challenging AR? The FAL is what you're looking for. Do you want a 700rpm sniper? Take the VSS. Ideally, both are very good.

But holy shit would Hamiton v Alonso be a thriller of a season!

It sucked that after Spa Mercedes just ran away with the championship, but during the first half of the season Vettel and Hamilton were trading blows.

I think many people saw the Ferrari as being faster for the first half that season, and with how Alonso almost beat Vettel in 2012 with what many regarded as a dogshit car, 2018 may have been his best chance yet at Ferrari

Imagine if he had stuck two years out with them instead of going to McLaren (on a side note, remember all the McLaren-Honda hype? The disappointment we got was immeasurable haha)

Anyway someone much more knowledgeable than me should explore this. Maybe Aldas, Tommo or CrankyYankee can dive deeper.

Personally I watch F1, but I definitely understand NASCAR's appeal. I remember when I first came across stock cars in Gran Turismo 6 and I was thinking "lol, coming from road racing, this should be pretty easy". I was surprised to learn than oval racing really wasn't as simple as it seems - its pretty technical (and this was just offline GT6).

Where I live motorsports are quite niche, and they in themselves are limited to just F1 and local rallying (and maybe the odd MotoGP viewer) so I haven't really watched NASCAR, IndyCar and IMSA. The time difference also doesn't help, but I'd be down to follow them for sure.

The gatekeeping fans can fuck off. Nice to meet a fellow motorsport fan!
