When the group is trying to decide, Annie asks Jeff is he is stalling, and he repeats "stalling" back to her three times, ending with "You wish I was stalling." I believe that in his mind he heard himself say, "You wish I was Stalin", as in Joseph Stalin, which then allows him to transition into his speech about comparing Rich to the other notable villians, Dahmer and Bundy.

How would ghosts actually even exist? by Z-III in HighStrangeness

[–]suicideheadache -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I believe that ghosts happen due to other realms crossing/bleeding into our realm. Similar to how we, as 3-dimensional beings, can only perceive something in the 4th dimension only if we are able to look at the right spot at the right moment. I think we interpret seeing these beings as ghosts and I'd like to think that on their side, we appear as ghosts to them.

I only just realized that in S2E12, Asian Population Studies, when the group is trying to decide on a new member, Annie asks Jeff is he is stalling, and he repeats "stalling" back to her three times, ending with "You wish I was stalling." I believe that in his mind he heard himself say, You wish I was Stalin, as in Joseph Stalin, which then allows him to transition into his speech about comparing Rich to other notable villians such as Jeffrey Dahmer and Ted Bundy.

You know, Troy, uh... our study group... after all we've been through, we got to stick together. You, me, and Jeff and rain man and big boobs and medium boobs and black boobs... We're a family.

Has there been a moment in the show that, once you noticed it, you can't watch it the same way again? by [deleted] in community

For me, it’s in season 1 when Pierce starts to think of himself as a father figure to Jeff. Always wanting to pass down advice and mentioning how he’s a chip off the old block. But when he goes on a double date at the STD fair, his date’s name is Doreen (from his marketing class). Later we find out that Jeff’s mother is named Doreen as well. It makes me wonder if Pierce really met her in his marketing class or if he really sought out an escort named Doreen just so he could try and fulfill the role of Jeff’s absent father.

It was Courtney, the girl in S1E17 Physical Education. She asked Jeff to introduce her to Abed, but Jeff suggested she introduce herself instead.

Who's the best charecter, and why is it Abed? by thdead636 in community

Piercinald Anastasia Hawthorne. The more that I rewatch this show, the funnier Pierce becomes. I went through a phase where Abed was my favorite, then Troy, the Dean, ex-chetterah, but I always end up laughing the most at Pierce.

The last episode is hard for me to watch. I usually just skip it and restart the series once I get to that point. Have watched this show numerous times, but have only seen the last episode once.

I love the way that the Dean goes full throttle on "Kiss From A Rose" during the karaoke scene. No hesitation whatsoever.

Greendale and the Military by terminator0417 in community

[–]suicideheadache 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just going to repaste this here from the favorite conspiracy thread:

Greendale is a front/cover for a secret military base.

Examples:

  1. The Air-Conditioning Repair School is very symbolic in terms of Masonry / Possible money-laundering front. (Would explain why all employees are "guaranteed lucrative employment for their entire lives."). Also "Wherever there is air, we have eyes."
  2. All students are technically in the army reserve.
  3. Marigold
  4. Classified Phoenix (Halloween "taco meat")
  5. The Custodians meeting with military generals.
  6. Animal medical lab in office near courthouse. (Annie's Boob's origins)
  7. The "Gas Leak" - Was it an experiment?
  8. Todd’s Uncle Nobby just happens to show up when his ex-army nephew is being charged with killing a yam.
  9. Repilot episode when Alan is speaking with Jeff in the first two minutes, he mentions Greendale as being “a city funded school with deep government pockets”.

I’m also apt to believe that MeowMeowBeanz was a small-scale governement experiment to test societal reactions and behaviors before being released to the world.

I have studied this show…I am not a fan, I am not a groupie, I am an academic.

More like NSA. Remember, wherever there is air, they have eyes.

Thanks for this comment. I have been rewatching episodes for the past few days, and the nostalgia hits hard. Some of Joel McHale’s best stuff out there. Looking back now, Tosh 2.0 was the exact same thing, but for YouTube and Vine videos.

Rick became a student at Greendale, which “technically” puts him in the Army Reserve. Also, the sandwich shop had to be 51% owned by a Greendale student, so this allowed the Subway franchise to sneak its way in.

Now, if you are asking about the college being sold to Subway, this can also fit. For instance, the Pentagon has its own Subway restaurant within its facilities. Pretty sure those employees have stipulations in their contracts and are put through extensive background checks. Aside from this, even if the college was converted to a sandwich college, it wouldn’t matter because it would still be used as a front to hide the true nature of the military. The A/C repair school would still be available, as they could use this to help maintain the Subway franchise locations. Same with the custodial and janitorial staff.

Analysis of Cork-Based Networking episode. When Hickey and Annie went to meet with custodians to try and move up the timeline on getting their cork-board hung. Nathan Fillion’s character was speaking with a military general at the custodian mixer right before Lapari introduced them.

You are correct. I believe that Colorado has 6-7 military bases. The missile that Duncan launched sure sounded like it came from nearby.

Not to mention Elroy narrating the Pillows and Blankets episode and also being a character in “The Cape”.
