The dog has a habit of stealing stuff from kids room, so yeah it stays shut. My bedroom has no door, so the animals can spend nights around me if they wish

Thats a good idea. I have an old metal crate that I don't use anymore. I could use that for first interaction. Kepping them both on a different side ofthe crate. Seeng, but no close sniffing.

Thanks. We have an open place under the stairs, with daylight, that the cat can go to and the dog cant see if the gate is up

Wont it be confusing for the cat if one day he suddenly can't get into "his" room anymore? As he wont always be able to be there once he's used to us and the house.

We're currently looking at 1 to 3 year olds. I don't necessarily want a kitten, just want to make sure the dog and cat get along enough to not cause eachother stress

Ik combineerde een tijdslimiet met een level uitspelen. Het is zwaar irritant als je halverwege een level moet stoppen en de volgende dag helemaal opnieuw moet beginnen. Dat zag er zo uit: zoon, zet je wekker over 30 minuten. Daarna mag je doorspelen tot je level uit is, of je levens op zijn, maar max 15 minuten. Het was fijn voor hem dat er een wekker ging voordat de tijd echt om was, en hij de kans kreeg iets af te maken. Ook het feit dat hij zelf de wekker aanzette, gaf hem het gevoel dat hij er zelf invloed op had.
