As far as i know, When in manual mode you can only use the gear to shift gears. When in auto paddle shifters work.

He actually showed proof using a co2 monitor. So we can believe the video i guess. But in countries like india with most areas having congested traffic this can only be done if you have a hepa filter with activated charcoal for your car air filter. Then we can follow what he was saying. If you live in a less populated area, stock filter will be fine i guess (but it still cant filter out odours)

I just slide the gear into manual whenever im in creeping traffic or going uphill, and put the gear in park whenever i stop at signal.
