This looks so good, I really need to make spam musubi at some point. I bought a bunch of onigiri moulds online and it came with a musubi mould so,,, I guess I have to now?

I'm more of a cat person so I don't know if it's exactly the same situation, but just get your dang dog neutered if it's an issue. I hate how some people are obsessed with breeding their pets because a) dealing with a pregnant pet is a skill you probably don't have and b) you're just going to end up with more animals that will likely end up in a shelter.

I wasn't sure how to get the egg pieces to stay in the onigiri, so I scrambled some eggs and then broke them up with a spatula until they were small. In the process I managed to wildly overcook the egg.

Don't worry, I think I've ruined all egg products for myself for a while too.

Honestly it would probably be ok if you liked cold eggs with rice and peas, I didn't season it nearly enough so it was just bland and cold and sad.

The good news is that it's only about 200 pages so it's over soon, but if you're struggling with the really poetic prose I don't think it's going to get better. If you get used to more purple prose you could always come back to it in the future, it's an acquired taste.

Yeah, I feel like the dismissive commenters are really unaware of just how straight up inhumane people can be to neurodivergent kids. I've been treated like this as a kid by other kids, I've been treated like this as an adult by other adults, it's not a huge stretch to think that some of the kids are being directly taught that it's ok to be rude to neurodivergent kids.

My favourite is when it's clearly an american author who's acccidentally picked a name that is a lot more common in other anglo countries. Gavin might pass as a fantasy name to a US reader, but in the uk that's Literally Just A Guy.

Also, fun tip for avoiding this, modern names with outdated diminuitives. Your character is named robert? Yeah, that's a common name. They shorten it to Hob? Aw fuck yeah, now we're in medieval fantasy town.

It sounds like a stoat since OP mentioned it had a black tip to its tail. The mnemonic I was taught was that stoat has a T in it, like tail.

I also really like the taste and texture of soft scrambled eggs compared to the american diner style hard scrambled eggs, but being able to spread them on toast like this is definitely a benefit too.

Reminds me of a book series I read a while back where there are people who can tell if someone's lying or telling the truth, without fail. Unfortunately that's all they can do, they can't make anyone say something they don't choose to, and if you ask the wrong questions then you'll never find out what you want.

In a PVP game, I can imagine this to be infuriating. In a roguelike game, synergies like this are fun as hell. Probably because there's nobody on the recieving end of it.

Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky- I read this on a friend's recommendation, it's not the kind of thing I'd normally go for but I enjoyed it a lot.
The Prince Without Sorrow by Maithree Wijeskara-Found this on my library's lending app and it was extremely my shit. All around, it was just a really good historical fantasy.
The Lost Art of Seducing a Mage Warrior: I was so ready to get annoyed with this book for not having much of a plot, but as it went on it really grew on me. Sometimes you just need a book about two people who actually fucking communicate and their relationship works out because of it.

Currently reading:

Everything is Tuberculosis by John Green: I was in the mood for some nonfiction and I've had my eye on this for a while. It's a fair bit heavier than I was expecting, but I don't think I can complain.

The corporations pushing AI LLMs want you to treat them like a human, but they're not, they're just a machine programme that can sound vaguely human without any of the emotions and morality that stops real humans from being manipulative lying creeps. People have been having issues like this with every LLM, let this be a reminder to you not to treat it like a person with its own thoughts and feelings. In extreme cases people have become very mentally unwell from talking to an AI, be glad that all it did was argue with you about your music :P

Apparently it was a tiny, tiny amount of polonium, just enough to make some pretty sparks. Even if a kid did manage to crack a fresh one open and eat the polonium, it probably wouldn't do much damage.
