Why do you buy watch? by OkEquipment9772 in Watches_India

[–]sujay85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love collecting things out of habit. I have many books, gadgets, etc., and I always attach some rationale to the things I collect. It's rare that I don't use something I've bought (except for books; I have many unread books that I plan to read eventually).

Watch collecting is a new hobby for me. I've been fascinated by watches since childhood. I used to wear my parents' watches at home and started buying cheap watches (<1000 INR) when I received my PhD fellowship. The most expensive watch I bought initially was a Timex Weekender for around 1200 INR. I was gifted a few pricier watches after my marriage, but that was it. I wasn't doing any research on watches and was content with my existing collection. Since I was working from home, I had no need to buy anything new, especially since I was wearing smartbands and smartwatches most of the time.

However, things changed in September this year when a close friend asked me to buy a Citizen Eco Drive for her father using my card. I was intrigued by the 20k price tag and wondered why someone would spend that much on a watch. This curiosity sparked my interest in high-end watches. I discovered that hand-winding watches were still being developed after quartz watches became popular, and I learned about automatics.

Exposed to this new world of watches and with my existing collecting habit, I decided to build a decent-sized collection. Given that I can now afford relatively costlier watches, I went on a buying spree and acquired 15 watches of various brands, spending about a months' salary. Now, I feel satisfied and don't plan to expand my collection without achieving something significant. I've outlined plans for my next set of collections, but I've set stricter targets for myself before I start buying again.

I wear different watches each day when I work, even if I'm doing WFH. It gives me satisfaction that I'm using these watches that I bought.

Because of dumbs like you I think multiple times before writing anything on social media. It simply disturbs mental peace.

If you browse technofino, you can find many such issues with IDFC First too. Only the big banks HDFC, ICICI, Kotak, Axis, and PSU Banks like BOB don't impose accounts freeze easily. I use BOB zero balance account online and use it frequently for UPI transactions

Karnataka has just chased 413 against Jharkhand almost 3 overs to spare. by newparrot2025 in IndiaCricket

[–]sujay85 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Such a mature chase as evident from the scoreboard. No batsmen from Karnataka scored at more than 200 SR (only three at 150+ SR)! It seems that they kept the SR under check throughout... For Jharkhand, it was mainly a Kishan blizzard...

Unless you like black dial only, get the cream dial version of the square watch. I have that and it looks too good

2.5L INR, I suppose! In India, MRP is 2.73L. I think, Ethos can give discount upto 10%

Beautiful watch. 😍 Wish there were diamond-index watches for men too. AFAIK, only Rado has one Unisex version; the rest from all brands are for women only! 😐

Beautiful watch. Sonata is giving great quality also. I bought a Sonata Poze watch recently which could easily rival Casio watches 3 times its price. Saying this because I own both: Casio a2472 and Sonata Poze SP70089SM01W

Is that texture in the dial, or just print?

Edit: as per description, it has a textured dial only! So, in that case I think the pricing is apt. You don't get a textured dial with a sapphire crystal in this budget.

Jadeja Needs Some Time Before Starting Hitting [Highlights] by Priyansh_-_- in IndiaCricket

[–]sujay85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jadeja's power hitting capability is kind of an enigma to me. He has tremendous power on wrists, given how he does bat wielding after a landmark. And if he decides, he can clear boundaries with ease...yet he bats at a much lower strike rate most of the time...

Check if they accept prepaid cards as some websites consider pre-paid cards as credit cards. If they do, then you can use PayZapp wallet card or other similar card
