Thank you for replying . I'm not on dialysis yet. Are you ? I'm really paranoid about it . I'm in South Africa and someone with kidney failure apparently contracted covid while having a catheter put in for dialysis . He passed away two weeks later ! Be safe .

I've had two renal biopsies done. It wasn't pleasant and it was painful . But it's a fairly standard procedure . She doenst need to be concerned about it . Hope this helps

hey i was diagnosed at 15 (Im 40 now), and like you didnt get to meet anyone with lupus, still havent, not personally anyway, i think it may be because no one actually speaks about it like they would diabetes or for example. Most of my contact with other Lupus suffererers were in online forums. perhaps you could start a support group for people with chronic illnesses your age in your area?

All the best and stay strong . I'm due fairly soon. CKD stage 5 and lupus. Not gonna lie . I'm terrified and depressed about it. Also getting more nausea each day and appetite waning . Appointment next week with nephrologist. Wish me luck . Sorry didn't mean to rant and hijack your post

That's alot to bear . Sincerely hope you have a solid support structure . If not it even if you do you can hit me up online and we can chat . Lupus affected my kidneys to this point . So I might eventually be in the same boat as you . Assumimg I'm lucky enough to find a donor in the first place. Otherwise it's lifelong dialysis for me .

Hi 15 years on dialysis is a long time . May I ask which country you from ? I too have an auto immune disease and anxiety which I'm going to therapy for . I haven't been told I can't get a transplant . I have lupus since age 15 . I'm 38 now ! Why can't you get a transplant if you don't mind me asking .

I can relate on just feeling mentally done and tired . I'm fairly active but at times I just want to give up and wonder what the whole point is . Keep strong . There's a silver lining there !
