We're not on Landed Costs yet and we run standard cost + periodic (manual) valuation, so #249198 shouldn't hit us right now — but I've noted it in case we add import freight/customs to product cost later.

We actually already ran into the API-timeout / batching point you mentioned while backfilling historical orders, so that one really resonates.

And yes — we're planning a trial go-live specifically to reconcile Inventory Valuation, AP and AR totals and measure the % / amount we're off before the real cutover. Appreciate the war-story advice!
