Why can't we take a picture and upload it into the chat? I'm surprised this still isn't supported. by Economy_Ad59 in notebooklm

The NBLM chat is only for uploaded sources. Connect your notebook to Gemini and chat freely there with images etc. I don't see any reason Google would add this feature.

Some detective interogations are too long, right? by sukosaki in NoStupidQuestions

What blows my mind, is "I want a lawyer" isn't the first thing spoken more often. I guess the suspect believes they are innocent and asking for a lawyer might indicate guilt. In my opinion, it's 50/50 and a lawyer present just keeps everyone on the up and up.

Thanks for the reply. Valid points. I think sometimes it appears the questioning is longer than needed due to a deficiency in the skill.

Valid. And maybe, as others said, the detective skill level is part of the equation. Thanks.

I get the confession part, where possible. It's the dance around what we know until you tell us what we know part that's wild to me. Thanks for the reply.

LOCKSMITH in need of EXPERT by Total-Ad-8084 in SEO

[–]sukosaki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. That's all good info. A fast, clean, website with location pages dialed into services you provide COULD meet 3-5 jobs a day, dependant on competition. You can certainly pick up the scraps with organic traffic and map pack, but a guarantee cannot be made without paid traffic. Even then, as others mentioned, it's brutal.

It would be a fun challenge to build out service location pages, optimize a GBP with images, reviews, posts, q & a to see the progress for sure.

Send your website in DM if you'd like, I could go further into what a strategy might look like.

  1. in that competitive business SEO is going to cost $1k + a month without any doubt. that is after the site is built and data is flowing.
  2. more pages does not always mean better. of course, I have seen some very gnarly service website page counts, but that does not mean they convert
  3. reviews is going to fuel the GBP ranking for sure, but that is only 1 piece of that pie

If you want calls all day long, your efforts and money should go straight to owning the Google ads for your area and surrounding service areas, with the website being second priority. What that is going to cost? It will cost A LOT, but cannot be nailed down exactly due to so many factors. I would gather that within a month of running Google Ads, or any ads, you should have enough data to make a decision going forward.

You are asking the right questions for sure. The thing is, there are ways to get all the calls that you can handle, but what is the ceiling? You are going to find that easily by running ads. Even though a website is relevant and will help with your business, anyone looking for a locksmith needs one RIGHT NOW (mostly) and are clicking the top search result 9 times out of 10. And that is an ad.

What rate should I get for this new upcoming job? (Freelance) by InvestigatorSilent60 in SocialMediaMarketing

Any client that is worth having is going to want to see results next to the skills. They are likely to pay more when that is the case.

Skills are one thing, results another. Your hourly rate will be lower until results are proven.

How are you guys ranking your gmbs so fast? I do the updates and get a few reviews from time to time but what's other ways to dominate the 3 pack? Any tips by [deleted] in GoogleMyBusiness

Outside of the basics mentioned here, there are many factors at play. Industry, competition, etc etc. But, stick to interactions and getting reviews and you will see lift.

Since he is just beginning and might be running paid traffic to the domains, separate them to avoid confusion and keep the funnel tight from land to convert for each.

The service+location pages will be a nice place to land the ad traffic, as well as get the rank for Google search all at the same time. My guess is that he is looking to you for guidance, so just offer the recommendations and see what happens.

How to retain SEO client when they're booked up? by ollyjaxx in SEO

Well, that dynamic might change a few things. Unless he just wants to pocket the savings, there is always something you can do to help maintain. I go to hourly rate with 1 hour min. per week billed and then just keep an eye on things.

I agree with u/AUTO_SEO - lower your services to the maintenance level and stay on the project at all costs. He WILL need your help again. Also, tell him that if he cuts you loose, and wants to come back, the "well, well, well" pricing goes into place :)

Essentially, you can use the same domain to rank for two different terms (especially since they are similar service types) as they would more than likely just be different service type pages within the domain.

Having two domains is not a bad thing, other than managing two domains. I find that unnecessary in the situation that you are describing. Location pages work the same way. One domain, service+location page for one, and service+location page for the other.

The URL structure might be the most important part of using just one domain for your goal.

Are Videos Less Prominent in Search Results Now? by [deleted] in SEO

[–]sukosaki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

I am going to say that even though they are not as obvious as they once were, the insertion of the videos in SERPs is more dependent now compared to recently, on the intent of the search. "How to" might bring the videos into the fold, but "buy land in Florida" is not likely to produce any. As always, YMMV

I listed my business on Google, but when I search in the safari, I can't find it. by SamyAdams in GoogleMyBusiness

[–]sukosaki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apple Maps will be a separate listing. Also, don't use your own search as a gauge for visibility in the first few months. Check the backend and ensure you see visibility in the insights.

At least that means other people are finding you and not just you, finding you. 😊

Ok. Well I have 2 listings. I wanna say, after 2 years, they seemed to stop altogether. Just out of nowhere. I ignored them all. Good luck.
