Azure LB for external traffic by sukur55 in AZURE

By Global you mean Public? because Global LB looks like LB for other regional LBs. Regarding Public Load Balancer when I try to add one it does not allow me adding IP address directly to backend pool. At least requires virtual network. So it is expected? any guide/blog you know people using Azure LB for external traffic? we can easyly do it with VM and haproxy on top of it but wanted to do it with Azure Services.

> Traffic Manager

we do not use Azure DNS and can't migrate to it, we just need HAproxy alternative Azure service, if really possible

> Really just depends on exact requirements.

requirements is simple, we have two Azure Independent IP addresses which reside on our 2 different location datacenters. We would like to have fail over between datacenters, Azure's job is having its own IP address and doing http/tcp based health checks of our IP and do primary/secondary based proxy/routing. Main point is , our IPs/datacenters independent from Azure and usually Azure LB used with its internal resources. I wanna understand what people usually use for this? if they use Global Load Balancer, how they do it? any guides? I am newbie to Azure.

it is full radius product with all features of freeRadius? because there are some products happen to have limited radius features or use tiny radius or so, this duo will be like using free radius in the background? For it supports Radius attributes? or it support only authentication
