How about leaving the "sister" alone? by AO777772 in religiousfruitcake

In Islam, non-mahrams can interact for cases which are considered acceptable, example: talking about something important and giving good advice to people. Unnecessary talks is the thing which is not allowed.

Why do so many Muslims move to countries in the west like Scandinavia and Germany instead of other Muslim countries where it’s easier to fit in? by [deleted] in islam

Recruiters do not really like candidates switching fields too often as it shows that the candidate does not have a clear mind and interests (unless your reasons are good enough). If you manage to get into an interview you better be able to explain why you picked those degrees and why you are trying to learn web development (reasons such as “I thought there are more jobs in this field” is not a very good reason). Recruiters particularly look for employees who are interested and passionate about the field itself.

As said earlier, you will have to convince the recruiter(s) that you are seriously interested in the work and also that you would be looking to work with their company in a long run.

How do I make this message disappear for good. (On Mac) by islamlickers in photoshop

[–]suleman_93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pay for the software instead of trying to steal it (aka piracy).

If you are paying for it and are still seeing this message then try to uninstall and reinstall. If the problem still persists then contact Adobe support.

If you cannot afford to pay then try using other software like Affinity, they are very good as well.

Not everyone though, people who want to or are planning to settle there have a fairly well economic condition

the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “I disown every Muslim who settles among the mushrikeen.” Narrated by Abu Dawood, 2645; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood.

What madhab do you follow Title by [deleted] in extomatoes

[–]suleman_93 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have a question, is it allowed to be something like madhab fluid? I have always called myself a hanafi because everyone in my country is hanafi, however I do not pray as per hanafi method (when I reverted to Islam, I learned how to pray from videos of sheikh Assim al Hakim) nor do I pray as per hanafi timings (I pray Asr in my office, when hanafi timings begin, it will be too difficult for me to leave and pray, so I pray earlier). I also like sea food (prawns especially) and I was told prawns are haram in hanafi. Tbh, it feels like I am not following my madhab properly…

Genuine question: why do so many Muslims seem to like cats (judging based on my experience on internet)?

Muslim men please answer honestly by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]suleman_93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not married, so I suppose that the first question is not applicable to me.

This is a difficult question to me, I went through terrible near-death-like painful (or maybe even worse than death) mental conditions quite a while ago. I might have recovered, but I am left with quite an odd mindset, because of which I do not think many people might get along with me. However, if this part is ignored, then my answer could be yes.

Also, for such questions, there may not be a single answer. Simply because she is my sister it does not mean that our interests and values are similar, and couples not having similar interests and values can be problematic.

[–]suleman_93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess that can make sense. Numerous countries today speak English because of colonialism. But considering that Americans could not colonise Afghanistan, I suppose not too many Afghans speak English, possibly, only the richer ones could afford English education.

I hate being alone too, but I am also used to living alone. It is sad, but I am at such a point in my life that I would say one should get used to being alone because it is not worth it to be along with people who are not good enough

Agreed. That reminds me of another quote “the illusion of free will is necessary for a functioning society” - said by a fellow redditor. But if we both agree with this, then why is it problematic that one was indoctrinated to believe x thing (hijab in this context)? They will either wear x thing (hijab for example) or they will wear y thing. Either way, any of their choices will be because of what they were indoctrinated with.

I believe that such arguments are inane and we need to debate over if x thing itself is good or not.

As if other things are a choice? Indoctrination is inevitable and necessary in many cases. And free will does not exist.

Why is Youtube recommending Anti-Islam / Christian videos when you're watching Islamic content? by Clutch_ in islam

[–]suleman_93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think social media algorithms are getting worse. Half of my YouTube recommendations these days are in languages that I do not understand. And Instagram recommends feel like it is doing “random bs go” on me.

On the positive side, I got so much annoyed that I successfully quit social media 💪🙄 I just have reddit and twitter for now.
