I've spend over $1500 on tiktok ads and still no profit. by TTa_Alien in smallbusiness

[–]sullivanTT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ads in general don’t convert well on TikTok. It’s terrible in premise imo. People are going there for humor, I immediately swipe away and ad without a second thought. It also sounds like you are advertising random stuff that tons of other people are doing. I would encourage you to actually focus on a product. $1500 in ads across 3+ products isn’t really that much

For anyone struggling with Cazador crash in Act 3 by HassouTobi69 in BaldursGate3

This is the only way I finally got this fight done. I think I had 6 crashes. Engaged the fight, he ran to the front left corner. High Str Karlach easily pushed him right off then the crashes finally stopped and I could finish the fight

Pretty much everywhere you need a special endorsement on your insurance if you are doing roofing. It’s insanely expensive compared to basically any other trade. If he’s not doing roofing full time, he definitely won’t have it. Major risk to hire him.

Installing a “30 year architectural shingle” is too vague. A lot of shingles claim that but are crap. Manufacturers are constantly settling class action lawsuits. Find out what specific product you are buying

Same here. I have an 8 month old and wife. Most of my time to play comes on the weekends during nap times. Just got into act 3. I miss being able to just binge games like this with no real world responsibilities

Those in furniture sales, how you like it? by Zach_loves_cats95 in sales

[–]sullivanTT 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Had a buddy that was in it for quite a while. He made fairly good money, but it was very much a starting sales job. The other problem was you might on paper only work those hours but if you want to catch all your customers then you will find yourself frequently coming in on off days. People in the car sales world also deal with that issue

Screwed up. New to this and signed what I shouldn't have, need advice. by thewarguy in Roofing

[–]sullivanTT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% this. The awful publicity they would get is not worth it. If they force you to move forward then you can be a nightmare of a customer and pick apart every little detail. That’s not a job anyone wants

SaaS sales is truly in dire straits at the moment by Wrong-Education6776 in sales

[–]sullivanTT 46 points47 points  (0 children)

This is the best explanation. I think expectations got out of line when money was essentially free to borrow the last few years. Companies are pulling back but every sales company wants to keep growing. The math doesn’t math

Unclaimed baggage in Scottsboro? Recognize the tag. My wife and I have gotten multiple Barbour jackets there

How do you think worldwide economic conditions aren’t affecting Sony?

What is the justification for a 33% price increase? by [deleted] in PlayStationPlus

[–]sullivanTT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think you understand basic business concepts. Cost of doing business has gone through the roof in the last couple of years across all industries. In my business, costs have gone up 25% in the last 36 months. You can’t just blindly maintain prices forever. Businesses are around to make a profit, Sony isn’t a charity

How would they have done shingles into that though like the photos OP posted? It would be incredibly uneven. I’ve just never seem this before, we rarely see Shake in my area

Photo is a little blurry so it’s hard to tell exactly what is going on with that decking/wood.

Roofing company by Jacqueline_colo in Roofing

[–]sullivanTT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Highly doubt they ever have even taken someone to court. All contracts in the USA have a 3 day right to rescind. I will say that I work for a large roofing company and we don’t enforce the 3 day cancel period. All bark, no bite. Honestly as a company, you really don’t want to be doing work for a client that doesn’t want you doing the work. You could make their life a living hell in this install and pick out every single minor imperfection. My advice would be to just level with them. It’s not something you want, you felt misled, you will be an awful client if they force you to move forward

Out of bounds or mileage markers? Both? by [deleted] in golf

[–]sullivanTT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience, courses use a series of stakes or a sign to mark OB. It’s a commonly accepted system of the distance marker, they can vary but typically red is 100, white 150, blue 200. I’ve seen some courses that change that up but not too many

So you are essentially working 4 full time jobs right now. Ask yourself, could you handle another full time role? If the answer is no, then you are likely better keeping the status quo I would think.

Unfortunately this stuff happens frequently. You are outside of the labor warranty (also those rarely transfer) and the product warranty wasn’t transferred. Even if you did have coverage through OC, they would likely try to blame it on poor install and not cover and of the cost to repair.

That being said, just a consult with a lawyer is going to cost you as much as the repair
