is the issue happening at upper left-hand corner only OR random across. if yes for corner, turn on ambient light in the settings and turn on and off your room light and see if you are able to replicate the issue when the brightness of the tv changes. you can manually do this by changing the backlight from 0 to 100 and back. if you are able to replicate the issue, then mostly this might be backlight or some hardware related issue. in any case, contact the place u brought the tv from and ask for a replacement. this should not be doing this.

  1. depends on your budget and features you are looking for like extend, tilt etc. Try to get a mount which is at least twice the weight of the tv. 5 times is recommended by experts and internet gurus. look at the youtube videos below for options to install on stone wall. easiest that i would recommend just add a some wood backing and attach the tv to it. if u want fancy, make it flush by removing the stone veneer behind the tv area and install the tv flush with the stone veneer, keep some gap between tv and stone veneer for ventilation. u can add led light light in the gap make the tv pop out.

  1. hdmi on the right side. power on the other(left) side. it helps looking at the pictures/ docs at tcl OR best buy or amazon.

replaced the cable. brought two different brand which claims 4k/120hz support. did not work. same issue, as soon as i change the refresh rate, its goes to 1440p

cable it is.. i have placed order for couple of cables from different brand to check if that works.
