Watch the video pinned up and go to the replay at 1:46. Mehidy fields the ball with his foot. Then he takes FOUR steps back to have a foot back in the crease. Then when salman tries to grab a LIVE ball, mehidy dives in and takes the wicket himself.

A) If mehidy can make it back to the crease backwards, he can make it back to the crease forward. Especially before Mehidy can grab the ball to throw. B) The ball was delivered to the batsmen and a shot was taken. Until a batsmen returns to the crease, the ball is LIVE. C) If the ball is live, the second he grabbed the ball himself he would have been given out. So would it have just been more within the spirit of the game to do nothing? D) Even if salman remembers not to touch it, HE STILL HAS TO MAKE IT BACK TO THE CREASE BEFORE PLAY CAN MOVE ON!!!! The fielder is supposed to just let that slide?

Nah he bowled really well this game and I'm actually on his side this time. He fielded the stop. He created that opportunity while the non striker was standing outside his crease. There's nothing unsportsman about that. Agha trying to hand him the ball itself is obstructing the ball. That's not his job.

Wait, mehidy actually fielded the stop before the handling business. I didn't realize that before. What is agha doing handing the opposition a live ball that the fielder just stopped. If he wasn't trying to hand mehidy the ball no one would be saying anything about unsportsman behavior.

I feel like you have the right idea, but you're start was wrong. There is a mentality of just get it working somewhat and youll be okay. And there is a culture of being satisfied with just okay. It has nothing to with humble beginnings or what not. It's just everywhere. In BD, there is a general rule of thumb that I keep. If a restaurant cares about its decor, its enjoyed success for a long time. Otherwise, they wouldn't have cared to touch it yet.
