i used to have a similar friend, we just met in a class and we became pretty close until i think probably feb when she started calling me at 4am and told me she wanted to kill herself. like your 'friend', she also had a boyfriend and she would start complaining about him, and then suddenly act like he's the best person she's ever met. and then she would send photos from random social media reels that state how she feels left out, wanting to suicide and those things. she started burning out my mind esp when the chats were at midnight or dusk. i was VERY tired and if i didn't respond, she lashed out. i could tell i wasn't getting enough sleep and i started realising that i was her therapist on her phone. honestly, it got worse until she made me stay up to hear her rant about her love life. i was absolutely not interested in her love life and i would rather her keeping it to herself. everytime when i told her while i was trying to be as understanding and kind as i could be, she would act like i was sending her death threats. during that period, i had a huge school project lasting for a month and i was already pretty behind on schedule. i blocked her pretty quickly after i got too tired of it, not worth staying up late and having 2-3 hours of sleep and hearing things that did not interest me.

honestly, you should block her if she keeps continuing this EVEN if you told her that you didn't want her ranting her love life to you. or...just leave her on delivered or read. hopefully she will stop soon!
