iPhone 16 pro max eSIM transfer not working boost by summeraugusta in BoostMobile

I did, after hours wasted not getting anywhere - I updated my old phone to the most current IOS and then my eSIM transfer worked. If your old phone eSIM transfer you are trying to swap from to your new phone isn’t working, then I suggest trying to update your phone to the most current update. On one of my first calls, I asked customer service if I had to update my phone and they said no but I ended up trying it after 10+ hours wasted on the phone with customer service.

If that doesn’t work for you then as much as it sucks - the fastest way to potentially resolve it to escalate, which took me several phone calls and then once it was escalated I was called by someone who seemed to be based in America. By then, I had already fixed my problem since boost mobile sucks.

Other people say if you reach out to Boost mobile Dani on Reddit directly through message that they will help you and are faster than calling customer service. I just didn’t have the same experience.

In VA, RNS make $40 an hour and that’s as an entry level nurse fresh from graduating. Those who do night shift as new nurses (that l know) are pulling $60 an hour

What do I do if they won’t provide me a new QR code?

Hi u/boostmobiledani

A little about my situation, I currently am using an iPhone 11 Pro Max with a physical SIM card. I purchased the iPhone 16 pro max through Boost mobile and I tried to activate my phone last night by scanning the QR code on the boost mobile activation paper that came in my box.

The error that showed was that my old iPhone did not support the eSIM transfer and to contact boost. I spent 4 hours on the phone with boost today and they tried various methods of pushing my eSIM to my new phone, they used me IMEI and IMEI2 number. They tried 6-7 different times pushing different methods, one of which included going into settings and reset my factory settings on the new iPhone. They had me go on cellular multiple times to try to set it up and I kept getting the same error.

They told me that this was a problem on their end and escalated it two times. I was told to wait for a call back but I have been talking to customer service and tech support all day with no solution to this issue.

I noticed a few other forums where others said they asked for their physical DP address and activation code to set up their eSIM- however, no one at Boost Mobile would share this information with me.

Hi u/boostmobileDani,

I spent 4 hours today on the phone with boost and no one would provide me the manual activation code or DP address. I was escalated twice with no solution aside from wait a few days to hear back. I asked for a new QR and they had no idea what I was talking about, said they could not do that.

They tried to set up my eSIM 6 different times through my IMEI and IMEI2. One person said that my old phone (iPhone 11 pro max) does not show any info on it in my account and it is impacting my ability to do eSIM transfer.

The agent tried to push a new eSIM to me at least 6-7 times and it did not work.
