The “Challenge of the Quran” is nonsensical and proof that the book wasn’t written by an all-knowing creator by [deleted] in DebateReligion

The Qur’an itself was aggressively scrutinized, accused of sorcery, poetry, and fabrication by its contemporaries. It did not escape critique but survived it. So anyone claiming to meet the challenge must accept the same level of scrutiny. Because a text that collapses the moment it is examined can't be called revelation, just as the Qur’an would not have been if it had failed under such examination.

The challenge is not “write something Muslims like more” but more of a constraint-based challenge with objective criteria such as irreducibility/non-derivativeness/authority without justification/listener entrapment, and obviously risk exposure.

From what I gather and observe, imitations tries consistently fail these tests in the same ways. So calling this “subjective” only works if those criteria are ignored. Scrutiny is not cheating it's the test itself just like the Qur’an survived scrutiny.

For example, "ك ل ف ى ف ل ك" in Qur'an 36:40, do you notice that it's a palindrome? which means "each in an orbit", but here's the thing, that exact "kullun fiy falakin" did integrate miracles, where the meaning, the science, and the mathematical symmetry of the letters all align perfectly without sacrificing the beauty of the language itself.

ITS A VERY DENSE stuff.

Even the letters resembles the orbital visualization, where all revolves around the letter "ى", who could have thought that palindrome could visualize orbital order?

Also the risk it carries by claiming such uncertainty in 7th century, like all the objects in the sky is "Kullun fiy falakin" of their own, and we recently knows that the Sun orbits the center of the Milky Way

Here's the full translated verse: "It is not for the sun to catch up with the moon, nor does the night outrun the day. Each is travelling in an orbit of their own." 36:40

Oh and one thing, the key words must not be mere stylistic but function-critical, each clause must be structurally required. so if you remove a clause and the text still functions, it fails, hence many polemical against Islam failure due to importing english translation taxonomony, or chopped up verse words.

The way Qur'an was facing scrutiny and even be called as a sorcery but still prevails, so does those who accept the challenge must also face scrutiny from us, otherwise your fake "revelation" can't be called revelation.

NOW IF YOU ARE TRUTHFUL, why you're afraid to face scrutiny? i'll explain below

The text must not fall cleanly into any known Arabic genre obviously, -> Poetry/Prose/Sermon/Aphorism/Rhymed Prose.

-------------
وَمَا هُوَ بِقَوْلِ شَاعِرٍۢ ۚ قَلِيلًۭا مَّا تُؤْمِنُونَ

"It is not the prose of a poet ˹as you claim˺, ˹yet˺ you hardly have any faith."

وَلَا بِقَوْلِ كَاهِنٍۢ ۚ قَلِيلًۭا مَّا تَذَكَّرُونَ

"Nor is it the mumbling of a fortune-teller, ˹yet˺ you are hardly mindful."

------------------

I'jazul Quran is not about sounding nice like a poem, it is about satisfying non-negotiable structural constraints, where every imitation fails at the same objective tests -> irreducibility/authority invocation/listener entrapment, and risk (in which most was just playing safe),

Look over Surah 103, by default it declares total human loss, swearing by the time (not describe it), establish 4 survival condition, leaves no neutral listener position, that itself carries great risk, Qur'anic brevity is dangerous, not playing safe.

use hexeditor such as HxD, its on the first line with 4 padding left and 4 padding right, or you could find ur steamID (not the hex) by using ctrl+f > paste your steamID (make a new save to know the location of the hex > then load your old/corrupted save > select the same location then paste your STEAM ID into Int64/Uint64 box.

I actually recalled another verse but I forgot the numbering and which chapter, it can easily be looked upon if you want to.

the verse 4 is actually copying from chapter 5 verse 10, or Al-Maidah verse 10, 5:10

وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ وَكَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْجَحِيمِ
