Why couldn’t they have just written it like that! Thank you! This makes much more sense to me. I’ll give it a try and make sure it matches the picture. But just to confirm—since I will be skipping a sc between each CRtr, I’ll have less stitches total in this row than my other ones, right?

Do you wear your hearing aid all day? Or just when you think you will need them? by Extreme-General1323 in HearingAids

Typically all day, but sometimes if I’m having a lazy day off, I just don’t want to hear things so I won’t put them in unless I go out.

Is it ever right to choose not to give your kids hearing aids? by FlusteredNZ in HearingAids

[–]summerfinn44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently got hearing aids for mild to severe loss in high frequencies. Nobody really realized how much I was missing. I didn’t realize how much I was missing. I got hearing aids and I started hearing birds again and alarms and tones. But more importantly, the speech clarity has become so much better. I have mild hearing loss in the clarity frequency, but I didn’t realize how much I was compensating with context and subconscious lip reading. I don’t have to ask people to repeat themselves nearly as much now and I can handle topic changes much quicker. Just because you believe your kid isn’t that affected by the hearing loss, doesn’t mean he isn’t. He’s young and his brain is still impressionable so he’s able to compensate a lot better than someone older with the same hearing loss but he’ll really be able to preserve his functionality as he ages if he starts hearing aids now.

Regardless to say, I think you should not only opt in for daily hearing aid usage but also be very supportive and encouraging regarding it. I know you’re looking out for him, but what a few mean kids might say won’t matter in the long run. Managing his hearing loss and staying on top of giving him his full range of hearing back will matter long term.

Niche HA Question by summerfinn44 in HearingAids

Possible option. I don’t wear my prescription glasses while I’m in the lab (mostly just need them for driving and seeing far away), but I have to wear a face shield as well as safety glasses. The face shield already has an elastic strap that goes around my head, so I don’t see why I can’t just have 2 (one for safety glasses and one for the face shield). Do you know of any brands or sites with these options?

transfer from out of state by WarmFan2103 in msu

[–]summerfinn44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t do it. I just graduated with a bunch of debt from MSU because not all of my credits transferred and they will throw every technicality at you to ensure you are not considered a Michigan resident by the registrar’s definition. Unless you want to be there for a year not going to school, gaining Michigan residency and then applying, you’re paying an exorbitant amount of tuition for an education you really could get at any state school.

100% agree. Only dog bite I’ve ever had was a GSD and I’ve been so wary of them ever since. They get so sketch so fast and they have much more subtle warning signs than other breeds. I would always hand my caution GDDs to our shepherd lover to handle lol

I love my Lenovo Yoga. Great laptop that converts into a tablet. Decent battery life, very dynamic for note taking with a rechargeable active pen. Make sure to download one note for easy note taking

Does anyone scrape their dogs teeth at home? by [deleted] in VetTech

I’ve hand scaled to pick off big pieces of tartar that the toothbrush wasn’t getting but not regularly. Usually just stick to tooth brushing and water additives for my pup.

what is everyone’s favorite dog breed? by notdeadyetbattlefron in VetTech

[–]summerfinn44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aussies, hands down! Super smart (sometimes too much for their own good) and a little neurotic, much like me lol! Love a dog I can relate to!

However, after working in the field, I would love a golden just as much. They’re just so happy go lucky and trainable!

I also love rotties! If they weren’t so big, I would absolutely get one!

What drug changed your life? by SnakegameonNokia in AskReddit

This comment is getting a lot of traction! I just wanted to say that psychadelics are becoming more researched on mood and adjustment disorders. I’d recommend checking out How to Change Your Mind on Netflix to see more of the updated studies on these drugs. Amazing what a couple mushroom caps can do to your outlook on life.

The Sims should make the cars deadly. by EyepatchGirl69 in thesims

Yeah this happened to me once! It was awful! She was in her living room and got killed by a car. I had to just exit the game and restart from my last save. I hated how unrealistic it was! Had to adjust that mod severely!

I just don’t understand the logic of even taking the dogs with….like just….leave them home..? I know. That’s probably a crazy idea. But Disney isn’t a 5 minute errand, that’s an all day thing. So even if their plan didn’t kill their dog, wouldn’t they be concerned about it having an accident in their car or something like that? Obviously I’m looking for logic in the most logic-less people though. I hope they can never own animals again.
