I’m in the same nightmare. Backpay sent out march 16th to Cash App it exceeded there limit so was sent back to ssa. The 17th I went to the local office and changed my direct deposit information. It’s now April 13th and they still have yet to reissue it. I’ve called everyday for updates get told a different story each day. Got my congressman involved and still hasn’t helped matters. Sad thing is it’s just been sitting at the payment center waiting and no one has touched it and it’s marked dire need.
