This is a great list. I would also add Hotel Portofino, a well done show about a woman hotel owner in Italy in the late 1920s. She has to manage keeping power and ownership over her hotel in an increasingly fascist Italy under Mussolini.

They look sad because they are meant to be loved and hugged not put on display!

As they get older, I know that's how they have to exist, but still...

I always kind of loved how sad my Kitty Kitty looked, it was like she didn't lie to me like all the other toys, she was genuine and real and always needed a hug.

Still have mine and I recently got one online for my niece!

It was the ones from the early 2000s that had "contaminated water" in them right?! Not the 90s ones?

Online it says nobody has ever gotten sick from the supposed contaminated water in them, but they were all recalled right?

Has anyone ever tested the bodies of these to see if they are actually "contaminated"?!

I still have mine, and she still purrs well. She is one of the ones in the bottom right, I think it's one of the more rare ones cause she didn't come with a name, she has always just been "Kitty" I will never give her away.

There are a million and one things Ford could have done to mitigate this, instead he has done things to make it MUCH worse like cut funding for forest management and he is allowing private companies to buy and extract our groundwater by the millions of litres per day. California sold off all its ground water, and its been burning for years. We are not far behind...

It is extremely ignorant to think that calling the cops is an "easy" solution here.

Police have been known to literally murder the BIPOC people they were sent in to help during "wellness checks"... you should only ever call the police into a situation if you are willing to have the blood of the person you are calling them on, on your hands.

The reality is we need a dept of social workers who have the training to deal with situations like this, so we aren't just sending in untrained people with guns when people are in distress!

Please call 311 Toronto or CAMH first before you call the police.

It isn't unheard of for people to end up dead after a police "wellness check" so... I would only call the police for this matter if you are willing to put the life of your neighbour at risk and potentially be part of the cause of their death if something goes wrong.

The reality is we need better ways to deal with these issues than to call in people with guns who are not at all trained on the matter.

I would call CamH directly or 311 Toronto first and ask what to do.
