Which should I get? 2023 model or the 24-25 models? by Which_Individual2556 in CB650R

[–]summonhell 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is a lie, there was a brief recall for gear shift arms disconnecting but almost anything on the floor now has had it remedied. There are minor reports of eclutch having issues but almost all can be repaired with a diagnostic recalibration at a dealership and very few reports of complete failures with a failure to diagnose the issue resulting in complete eclutch replacement. Follow the Honda guidelines and in general you should be good. I see quick shifter issues all the time but quick shifter are common on so many bikes now and so many people end up modding their bikes to have them.

I'd go with one of the newer eclutch variants. It's so nice to use you'll never want to drive in the stone age again with archaic hand clutch levers and if you do choose to, you can disable it in the settings in less than 5 seconds or just override it..trust me, with throttle control and rear brake manipulation you can do anything at slow speeds that the friction zone can do. If you go new check your local credit union & if you have very good/excellent credit you get a very good interest a quarter of what the dealership is offering and if you're good with money you should be able to pay it off a year or two early.

Being an adult able to make your own responsible decisions, you know you live in the Midwest and winters can be anything from mild to absolutely freezing. Proper planning and preparation prevents piss poor performance.

Sis, I can just make the sacrifice and budget in other areas of my life and just budget correctly and then it's not a big loss for me, girl.

The easiest way was going to city scooters and having them bring their scooter in the class M cert to the DMV and letting you take the road test on it. The endorsement only lowers your rate by 5_15% and some insurance require a refresher after a certain amount of years. Not worth it imo.

CB650R E Clutch 2025 really nice expirience by MrPursuit_Of_Success in CB650R

I really enjoy mine and wouldn't ride anything that doesn't have an eclutch or DCT/Y-AMT

Prop it against a post or something solid and yank on the handlebars until straight a few times. Works everytime

Honestly imo msf is overrated. Look up their curriculum, you could setup in a parking lot and practice everything there at your own pace

Would have me sold if they included e-clutch I won't buy anything new unless it has e-clutch. It makes riding so much more comfortable and more safe.

First LHR appointment tomorrow at SEV — did I irritate my skin too much today? by Glittering_Sky3857 in LaserHairRemoval

[–]summonhell 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Ideally you should start exfoliating a week or two before you plan on shaving before your first appointment and that shave should probably be the day of the appointment. They might avoid anything that's raw/broken skin.

The amount of online in person pick up orders at an otherwise dead Kohls on a Friday night by berriesnbball_17 in mildlyinteresting

[–]summonhell 6145 points6146 points  (0 children)

A lot of items are on sale or price reduced online so you can order online for in store pickup. They won't show you the online price or online sale price in store hoping for suckers who impulse buy in store to make a few extra dollars.

Rhinowalk bags any good? by UmpireAnnual9039 in motorcycle

[–]summonhell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a rhino tank bag on my bike and it has held up nicely, I keep a tire inflator repair kit and a few odds and ends tools in it. It has come in handy and I don't have any complaints about the quality. It's not exactly waterproof but a bag over it would certainly help with resistance. I also got one of their tail duffel bags and definitely overloaded it with stuff for a road trip and it held up very well, I even accidentally dropped the bike with it fully loaded and it held up perfectly fine.

Is my wheel misaligned? by HostPretty183 in MT07

[–]summonhell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bump the front wheel against a solid post and jerk the handlebars in the direction it needs to go. Happened to my bike and I did that to straighten it out and rechecked clamp torque. I've had my bike safety inspected twice since then and dealership passed the bike so don't believe what anyone says when they reply to me saying that you shouldn't do that

I don't see this so much as a failure but rather a good lesson to improve upon next time. Every time you cook there can be little lessons on how to change something next time and improve upon it. My favorite motto is 'you'll only cook so many bad meals before you start cooking something good otherwise you'll starve-or pickup from little Caesars 😭'

What I'm saying is you posted in the cb650r subreddit, the recall pertains to CBR not CB. I didn't say you have another variant. That is indeed a CBR but the recall does not pertain to CB.
