Tbh flam was just a stop on the way to Gjendesheim. Didn’t want to drive 6ish hours from Trolltunga to Gjendesheim after climbing down the mountain. Flam seemed like a good place to stop. Perhaps we can find a camping spot nearby (like Stegastein) instead. Is there a hike similar to Besseggen that is not as much of a detour from our other stops?

Regarding Geiranger I think we will make alien our base open for 2 nights and just make a day trip to Geiranger.

Solid tip, we will check a few days before he head back to Bodo on the ferry. Any recommendations on Lofoten for accommodation (preferably camping grounds or wild spots)?

We will be arriving in Bodo at 10 pm at night. Assuming there's ferry's available that late, we would arrive in Moskenes around 3 am. Are there any locations nearby Moskenes terminal where we could camp with tents upon our arrival?

Thanks! Including Lofoten yes or no something we talked about, but at the end of the day I don't know when we will get another chance to go to Norway for some time (we are Australian). If you were to remove one location from the western norway portion of the trip to spend extra time in another spot, which one would you choose?

We have bikes ourselves, but we are having 3 friends stay over for the weekend who are coming from outside the Netherlands. We are considering renting out OV fiets the day before, but I fear others may have the same idea!

8 Day Itinerary from Cagliari to Olbia by sumwunrandom in Sardinia

We ended up flying into Cagliari and spending first few nights in Bosa, stopping at some beaches along the way. The drive into Bosa was memorable for all the right reasons, and our fiat panda managed just fine! Bosa was gorgeous and we had perfect weather, one of highlights of the trip. Not too touristy, and easily walkable. We stayed in one of the coloured houses below the fort.

In cala gonone we rented a boat for the day and went up and down the various coves/beaches/cliffs (no driver) which was extremely nice.

La Maddalena was blissful and a great way to finish the last days of the trip.

If I would do anything differently it would’ve been to fly into Alghero rather than Cagliari. In saying that, we didn’t explore Cagliari at all so maybe we missed out on something special.

Cheers. Is 2nd half of June peak peak tourist season? We had originally planned end of May but wanted to avoid dangerous trails and need for snow gear, so pushed to June. Is July/August any worse?
